I've been dying to roll with some A wings. I'm such a fan boy it isn't even funny. How about this for a bit of a swarm?

So if my math is right, you're working with 3 points extra right now. Without doing anything else, you could easily throw A-Wing Test Pilot + Adaptability + Crack Shot on there to help out your As.

Another thing is why Red Squad? If you are looking to shoot before Scouts, it makes some sense, but if you drop to Rookie Pilots, you free up 4 points to do something with. Do a Crack Squad and add R2-D6 to one with Crack Shot and Integrated Astromech. Pick another 1 or 2 point Astromech to throw on the other, and add IA. You essentially get a hull upgrade for the price of an astromech. That gets you to 26 HP for your squad and throwing 12 dice a turn. Not bad, but you will likely have issues with higher PS pilots. Just make sure you position your arcs such that they are getting shot by something, and you'll be in better position to take on those lists.

I know I'm 3 points shy of 100..I've wanted to mod the A's somehow but I can't drop them down to protos or they lose their elite talent. I COULD drop an A wing to deck out the other twos and then toss some proton torpedoes on the X wings...which will be 100 exact. But then again that kind of goes against what I want to do.

Well, before I got on the IA and R2-D6 tangent, I mentioned giving them all Crack Shot, Test Pilot, and Adaptability. Takes care of those 3 points, and puts everyone at PS4, which is great for flying these swarms.
