Lose Outlaw Tech and K4.

Replace them with Intimidation on the bumpy one and Dengar on the Slaver.

Other than that, you're set.

Agree. Dengar > K4, unless you've already got Dengar pilot somewhere in your list, or you want the TL for a very specific reason, like firing ordnance.

I'm totally confused at why everyone says Dengar is better than K4. K4 lets you reroll all of your dice. Dengar sometimes only lets you reroll 1. That's pathetic, in my opinion. I would go K4 all day everyday.

Yes, but you have to take a green maneuver to get that TL, making you predictable. Dengar works all the time, every attack, no matter what. That's why it's considered better.

I prefer an upgrade that works with 15 maneuvers rather than with 4 maneuvers. Also, it's nice to have an upgrade that works against any target, with your PS2 ship, rather than one that forces you to commit to a target, often before seeing where it will end up.

Okay, well I guess I've been flying PS 9 Bossk with Engine Upgrade, mostly, so that may be why I've enjoyed K4 more.

It just seems strange to me that nobody was using Predator, but now everyone swears by Dengar.

Dengar works better where it counts usually. You aren't always gonna need all the rerolls a TL gives you. My average even at range one is only needing the two rerolls Dengar gives you.

Also, my meta is highly saturated with uniques, so I forget sometimes that Dengar doesn't just reroll 2 all the time. If your meta is full of generics like crackswarms and u-boats, maybe I can understand K4 more.

Aside from all that's been said, there are two advantages Dengar has over Predator:

- ace hunting

- occupied slot

Getting locks on aces (especially while locked on greens) makes you predictable. Whereas Predator feeds on generics, easier lock preys.

But, most importantly on o YV-666, that EPT slot for Bossk is so precious, while he has 3 crew slots to fill. Combine that with stress combos (Zuckuss, Bossk crew, Outlaw Tech), which limit K4, and you have much more strategic leeway going with Dengar.

As has been mentioned above you can do it without a green manoeuvre. This is important when you're throwing out hard 3s to present your arc to the guy behind you. Also you don't need to choose in advance who you get the re-rolls on. TL you TL one ship. Dengar you pick the juiciest when it's time to roll the dice.

I'd stick with Outlaw Tech on the Torp scout though. It's brilliant for squeezing the focus out of a tight situation and then deploying your payload.
