Is the YV (even remotely) viable in the current meta?

I am worried about a triple Uboat getting off three plasmas at it though, five hits on the first and then two fours is enough to one shot it and I'm not confident I can get the two evades necessary off three single green dice rolls required to keep it alive.

May have to throw the uboats in to joust first (at least they can fire simultaneously) and follow up with the slaver just behind.

Yeah, I think there's a danger in just throwing it into the jaws of death. I also realised that the Boba UBoat list is going to be real nasty against it (goodbye Dengar for sure). At least it would take half of their ordinance to get rid of, a little more if you get lucky with the evade.

I think there may be solutions to that though: maybe holding it back a little as bait in the corner while flanking with the Torp Boats. Asteroid placement might make getting 3 torps in 1 turn really hard for your opponent too - and that's whether they feel happy concentrating all their fire on it. It does also have that surprise 4-forward, so maybe you can pull him over a little then jump forward and block one or two of them. The Slaver doesn't need the actions and can really get in the way if you can funnel him a little.

Saying that, I wonder how many players would go for it that hard or whether it gets underestimated.

I don't like the association with Dengar. It should just be the Party Bus. Who's to say 4-LOM or Zuckass don't want it named after them as well? Bounty hunters are greedy individuals that will never agree on letting the others get the name.

The one who costs the most points is obviously in charge, though I'm cool with Party Bus for the sake of brevity.

Party bus is the best name because it doesn't always have Dengar.

My Party Bus is Bossk with Zuckuss, Greedo, Boba, Feedback, Engine, Daredevil.

We got regionals in Poland next weekend (Poznan) and I am going to bring doom upon all of those triple u-boats coming that way with my Bounty Hunter Party Bus (Boba Fett in FS31 and Bossk in YV-666 with Dengar, 4-LOM and Zuckuss on board).

Clearly no former 4-Chan'ers here. Party Bus/Van had a very specific image in my mind that does not sync up with the list.

I propose "bang bus" as the more obvious and appropriate name.

I've always called it a Party Yacht.

Just because they're bounty hunters doesn't mean they can't be ballin'.

I do have to say that I love that idea, though. Slaver with those guys is just brutal to those Imperial Aces! I love it.

Man, if I didn't avoid tournament lists, I would play this with something to really kick butt.

Does the Bounty Bus work with other things than just 2 U-boats? I have one Jumpmaster, but I don't want two.

This is what I am dying to try out, but sadly I am on the worst dry spell of X-WIng right now :/ I already know how to perfectly introduce it: Tel, N'dru and a Trandoshan Slaver that wishes to remain anonymous in this list...

It is very U-Boat similar, but a bit more interesting.

I can confirm. Bossk is a beast.

I really love the yv, especially latts with weapon engineer, k4 and dengar, run it with N'Dru and talonbane can be quite fun, if a little brittle

I'm assuming GC on each too? He was able to get enough modification on the Concussion missiles without a re-roll? I always theory-crafted that homing missiles were inherently better since you could use the TL.

Yeah, sorry, GCs for sures. Concussions take advantage of the K4 & focus action to do the business I think. He could have gone homing, but it would have meant he'd have to drop 4-LOM, which would be a downgrade I think - beacuse a) 4-LOM can debuff focus as well as evade tokens, and we all know focus is much more common an action, and b) once the missile is away (no EM) you lose that ability to threaten token-stackers if you ditch 4-LOM.

Also, if you manage to tl/focus (with K4) then the chances of 4 hits are virtually identical - 3.94 vs 3.98. If you don't get the double action, you're still expecting 3.5 damage with concussion vs 3.7. So yeah, the build doubles down on getting your green maneuvers in the approach.

An update on my London Regional flying:-

Slaver, Dengar, Zuckuss, 4-LOM

Scout, Dead eye, plasma torps, Ex munitions, R4, chips x 2

Made 4th in the Swiss out of 94 players, and top 8 after a cut to 16. Only lost to crack swarm TIEs once in the Swiss and in the final 8 (lost 46-50 on time)

Definitely viable.
