My friends...

I recently made a trade for Descent 2nd Edition Base Box, and Descent: Lair of the Wyrm. Both were gently used and in good shape, albeit both missing the miniatures. I contacted FFG and they are replacing the miniatures for free. I just finished going through each box piece by piece, token by token.

Wyrm is complete
Descent 2nd is 98% complete. I am missing only four tokens out of the entire set. I would really like to complete the game and bring it back to original condition.

2 hero tokens (the small ones) - 1 silver, 1 orange
2 objective tokens (the large ones) - 2 red

Would any of you kind folks have these tokens and would be willing to part with them? I would pay whatever shipping is required.

I would contact FFG again, but since they are sending me complete sets of minis for free, I didn't want to burn up all my good karma.

How many hero and objective tokens of each color do you have? Are you sure you're missing any? I'm pretty certain there was only 1 green and 1 white token in the base game box (none came with lair of the wyrm).

I counted the tokens out and checked them line by line with the list in the front of the rule book. There were supposed to be 16 Hero tokens. I have 14. Each color was supposed to have four tokens. (Granted...I am making a logical assumption.)

For the Hero tokens, I have:

Purple - 4

Gold (tan) - 4

Silver - 3

Orange - 3

Total = 14. Per the rule book, there is supposed to be 16.

As far as the Objective tokens, I am speculating since there was the following:

Purple - 4

Red - 2

White - 1

Green - 1

Total = 8. Per the rulebook, there is supposed to be 10. I assumed there was supposed to be one more green and one more white.

You're right about the hero tokens- with the base game, there should be four of each color. However, your assumption about the objective tokens is not correct. In the base game, there were:

4 blue

4 red

1 white

1 green

(10 total). You are missing two, but you're missing 2 reds.

Then I'm missing two red ones, then.

You're welcome. Also, while you may just want it complete, you will almost NEVER notice the missing hero tokens- it is rare to have all tokens from a hero in use (usually they only serve as reminders on skill cards or that a hero has done a particular thing during a quest. 99% of the time you are only using 1, and it is to mark a hero as KO.)

Actually, Hero Tokens do serve some purposes.

1). KO board spot.

2) OL chooses to gain Threat off first KO, keeps a hero token as a reminder.

3) Various abilities ( such as Prayer of healing effects) from a specific hero used a reminder for other heroes.

4) Gold and Purple Tokens needed for Co-Op Loot Track.

They are replacing ALL the minis, for a game they didn't get a penny from? Wow, that seems incredibly generous of them!

Almost makes me annoyed I paid full price for mine now. Should of just bought the boxes for a few dollars lol.

And, I was quite surprised when FFG said they'd send out the minis. Like I said, I offered to pay for them several times.

If you have extra tokens in general, and are interested in parting with them, I would be more than willing to pay you for them and pay for shipping.

Sorry but only able to offer the objective tokens and not hero tokens. If you need a few more other than the red let me know. Hero tokens are not hard to improvise. Also if you like descent and collect more expansions you will get more hero tokens.
