New Armada Vassal Module version 2.2.0

The Armada module has been updated to version 2.2.x!

2.2.x is NOT compatible with older versions. Old .vlogs are to be consigned to the scrap heap and new ones created! You cannot use old extensions - get the new equivalents instead!!!

The build is identical to 2.1.8 beta 4 (thanks to those of you who have provided feedback). Hopefully I've caught any minor bugs and glitches before uploading, but if you spot anything, please report it!

KEY CHANGES FROM v.2.1.0

You can follow the incremental improvements from 2.1.0 here if you're interested, but here is a summary:

- added a 2nd LoS tool

- clear tool now clears all range/distance measurements (in addition to the maneuver tool)

- added a straighten tool button
- added a button to load default setup values for ships/squadrons

- added a Report: SET button (so you don't have to type SET in the chat when done)

- added status phase refresh button (also cycles command stacks - so don't also manually cycle your ships!)

- quickly reorient ships during setup (including turning them 180 degrees)

- MANY key actions now auto-report to the chatlog (speed/hull/shields/defense tokens/command tokens, notching the maneuver tool etc.)

- dice roller now reports results in text to chatlog

- dice roller accepts 10 dice of each color (needed for wave 2+)

- dice roller has sounds

- unified hotkeys for shields and hull

- new hotkeys for many core functions

- list of critical effects added

- added wave 3 previews (Gozanti and GR-75 + all the upgrade cards)

- bright arc lines

- 3x3 maps got moved over to the alternate size map pack

- and Dutch got some special markings on his Y-wing...how AWESOME is that!!!

THE FUTURE

The functionality of the nodule is pretty much what I want it to be. There could be some tweaks here and there, but unless someone has some very bright ideas I do not envision any major changes for the foreseeable future.

The next step is looking at higher-quality, unified graphics. So that's the main focus from now on.

On black dice, the set to blank and set to hit/crit are switched.

On blue, set to crit and accuracy are switched.

It is working very well thus far. Maturin and I played two full rounds with no major issues so great job. Again, can't thank you enough!

Bugs:

minor - The ISD range and distance are combined under one button so both display at once. It can be worked around.

Wish we could use the ships but they are being super vague on info with them. Both ship previews have matching ship cards to the ship base plates.

Me and Matt found an odd situation last night. My YT was IN range of Dash. His Dash was NOT in range of my YT....

Now that's a bit weird. They use the same image file for the range/distance bands.

Do you or (the other) Matt have a screen shot, or a log file that a screen shot could be taken from?

- added mock-ups for the Interdictor-class Cruiser (ship base, ship card, title)

- added mock-up of the Grav Well Token

These additions, coupled with the Experimental Retrofits from 2.2.2, should enable people to play with the Interdictor.

Note that we do not yet have full stats. What we do know (of the Combat Retrofit version) is the following:

- It takes the following upgrades: Officer, Support Team, Offensive Retrofit, Experimental Retrofit, Ion Cannon, Title.

- Command: 2, Squadron: 2, Engineering: 5

- Def tokens: Redir, Brace, Contain x2

- Shields: 3 Front, 2 Side, 2 Rear

- 9 hull (on medium base)

- Battery; Front 2 Red + 2 Blue, Sides 2 Red + 2 Blue, Rear 1 Red + 2 Blue

- AS: 1 Blue + 1 Black

- We've no idea of speed or yaw

- We don't know the cost

Speed could be 3 I suppose, based on Cracken's wording. Or it could be 2+1 support team. Or maybe we have a ship with 2 different speeds?

I'm much less certain of upgrade slots on the Liberty than the Interdictor, so don't quote me on this.

I wouldn't bother building the Liberty to meet Cracken...

After all, its not a small or Medium ship, so it could be Speed 4, and Cracken would have no effect anyway.

But since Cracken specifically doesn't affect Large ships, and there are no speed 3+ large ships ATM, it COULD imply a speed 3 variant of the Liberty. I'm not sure I buy that theory myself, but it's a possibility.

GK. Next time you work on this.

Instead of changing colours of a small circle for distinguishing ships. Can the plastic base change.

Eill be mega useful for checking rams, instead of white on white.
