He used to be on top of the world. Felt like a king, everyone wanted to be his buddy - Poe, Dash, even the Walking Carpet.
But now look at him... Picking through dustbins for food, selling Whistler for a bag of crack(shot), man, these are dark times for Horn.
But what's this? Corran's been graced with the tournament alt card treatment* for this coming summer season - could he be about to make a competitive comeback too?
To be honest with you, I'm not sure why he's fallen out of favour so badly. Sure, that first wave of tlt spam was pretty bad news for him, and really exposed his lack of ATs as a weakness, but they've been pegged back now by the new meta-beasts, the Wolfpack and Palp's Aces.
But geared right and in the right team, shouldn't Corran still be able to mix it with them? He was always a scary prospect when flying imperial aces, and that hasn't changed. The Jumpmaster is a serious proposition, especially with its too-common loadout of plasma torps, but the guy can close range and arc dodge with the best of them.
So I'm interested to hear from people on the forums who're sticking by Corran - I'm guessing Tastetherainbow is one for sure. Has anyone taken him out for a tournament recently? I'd be interested to hear your thoughts, and builds, of how he can be made to work in the new meta.
* And does anyone else think he looks eerily like the Alt Dash card? Man, they really are brothers for life...
