I want to field a single Aggressor (not B) and have 4-5 some points left. So no HLC. I can insert either a Mangler Cannon or Flechette, or nothing and invest the points in illicits or something else. Any experiences using IGG without cannon? I know the enemy get the range 3 bonus die when firing with prinary, but that was rarely a reason since B-wings and other ships don't have cannons equipped either. My other ship would probably be Dengar with "Punishing One" title, so I need a bit of firepower, therefore no tractor beam)

I use a single IG in a build with Talonbane and other (mostly NDru as third ship, sometimes another Kihraxz and Z95 to have 4 ships), to have additional pressure (divert some attention from Talonbane).

I've put PTL and Baffle on it; I was also experimenting with FCS instead of baffles, but skipping the stress can be very helpful once or twice a game. Funny thing they still go after Talonbane first no matter how aggressive I play with the IG (we are talking about rushing forward and attacking at R1 from turn 2 on, with TL and Focus, doing real damage), and of course they loose some ships before TB goes down resulting in endgames where there's an IG vs whatever escaped the early wrath of TB + IG + NDru (with missile).

So far I can just say that a single IG is a fantastic ship, just don't overload it with upgrades. I'm sure it will do a great job alongside Dengar. You should still consider loading a tractorbeam on the IG to push ships around, onto obstacles or close to edge (when they would not be able to avoid flying off next turn) or lower PS generics into arc of Dengar so you get double tap when they attack him. It might even be worth using the IG B then, since you get the tractorattack for free then.

I've even run brobots without IG-88B or cannons. It's less efficient, so you'll want to run them pretty skinny, but I like PTL IG-88C a lot. Crack shot is obviously good too, and I've seen some people playing around with Mindlink too.

I've had some fun playing C and D only with autothrusters together with a Y-wing with Ion turret and unhinged astromech.

Why are you taking the Virago title and then not taking an illicit or system upgrade? You have 5 points, throw in a Sensor Jammer or something?

I've tried Iggy C with Super Dengar as an alternative to Guru. Worked quite well seeing as I'm inexperienced with IG's. I took Predator, Adv. Sensors and AT. While a cannon would have been nice at times, generally it did well. Boost was my action of choice for the evade and getting range 1 hence taking Predator to still get some modification. Adv sensor sloops are great for survivability and arc dodging. I don't think I'd take any of the three upgrades off to make room for a cannon, not would I lighten SuperDen to do it either.

That could work. When I sub in Guri that's her EPT and it gets work done and I can often focus fire but still have LW active. Keeping two large bases at range 3+ while still bringing firepower to bear? I fear that's beyond my own skills at the moment!

I think it is easier to keep the 3+ distance when you have Jumpmaster with title because of the turret. You can fly away and still fire

A with sensors and ptl is not awful. He can block aces and react to generics pretty well.
