Barnes and Noble in Redlands hosted a May the 4th X-wing event and about six people showed up. It was a lot of fun, and the employees there were VERY supportive and enthusiastic about it. Conversations happened, which led to B&N being willing to host a regular game night. Somehow I became the point person for it, so don't let me down, X-Wing community! There are four million people in the IE, hope that six to 10 can work it into our calendars!

We're aiming to having it the last Tuesday of the month, starting 5/31, and are hoping it will become a regular event. My push is for X-Wing, but it can grow in whatever direction participants want it to (I'm only promoting it here!).

B&N has a TFA core set they loan out, so no excuses for not having your own ships! Anyone in the local area of Redlands, Loma Linda, Yucaipa, Highland, even San Bernardino and the mountain communities is invited to come out!

The key word is casual... lets make this fun and get people connected. Eventually I'd love to see an Aturi campaign, or store championships happening, but that's a conversion for another time...

A small buy fun group showed. Played for a couple hours. Taught a new player the ropes. Ended up meeting some good people, and hopefully turning growing it into a local group!
