Doubling up on Quad Laser Turrets

By Crabbok, in Star Wars: Armada

I'm sure this has been asked at some point, but I googled it real quick and didn't see it.

If you equip TWO "Quad Laser Turret" cards, each granting you Counter: 1, do you:

A) Have only a single chance to counter with 1 blue die

B) Have a single chance to counter with 2 Blue Dice

C) Have 2 separate chances to counter, each with one blue dice.

I have a feeling it's A, but depending on wordings and any previous rulings I'm wondering if there is a chance that you'd make 2 separate counter attacks against each attacker?

You can't equip more than one copy on the same ship.

It is official errata in the FAQ:

Fleet Building, p.6

This entry should include the following bullet point:

“A ship cannot equip more than one copy of the same upgrade card.”

Also, Kudos to Green Knight for beating me to it :D

I'm much slower when its not in Rules Questions :D

Well that explains that. Thanks!

Tried it in a triple ISD list, before we were aware of the rule/errata. It was kind of heinous, especially since I keep my ISD's close to eachother for support, and so every group that came in for bombing runs would catch at least 2 anti-squadron arcs plus would get punished reactively on their own attacks. I ran the list twice, then switched to single quad+tractor, which was far more effective overall, but slightly less entertaining. Quad turrets generally are nice for that extra point of wandering damage to annoying A-wings who like to wing off shots in passing (or in swarms, but you are asking for it if you swarm attack an ISD-1 with quad turrets from the same zone/arc).

As an aside, equipping a QLT and Cluster Mines does steal and you may choose the order to make them in. Since Cluster Mines does not count as an attack, you have a strong chance of getting 4 damage on the target with no defense tokens allowed.
