i'd like to start this thread up to get this community moving with creativity and hope to inspire some really interesting maps to share, play test, fine tune the maps for efficiency, get to know each other and most of all, have fun.

i'm curious to see, does anyone else out there like to create their own skirmish maps to play on? or perhaps even campaign maps of their own with their own story lines beyond the current released sets?

i know there has to be a few of you at the very least out there. i know i can't be the only one that's created a map, and if I am the first, then I hope to inspire.

You're not the only one. I've had to make maps on the fly for the number of players playing. I had to make 4 player maps before they had provided any and have made some 3 player maps as well. I've been looking to create some campaign maps with missions and such but haven't gotten around to it yet. I want to actually get an app made that will allow you to build maps digitally and then provide the rules text and it ends up being formatted like the campaign missions that come in the boxes.

I've made a bunch of campaign maps/missions for my custom "Imperial Hero" campaign, but they're all very much a work in progress. An app that would allow us to make digital maps and missions would be very helpful indeed! (Like mission control for x-wing?)

(If you can figure out Vassal, you can use the campaign module to build maps and initial setups.)

There were a load of custom maps made for the WotC Star Wars Miniatures Game - I've got maps for Echo Base on Hoth, Endor, Jabba's Sail Barge and the Saarlac, among others. I'd be tempted to break them out for some IA skirmish if that was a thing in my group.

Great idea, I don't have time to play the skirmish missions I do have, but still a great idea.

What I'd REALLY, REALLY love to see is a fan-made co-op campaign, similar to Heroes of the Aturi Cluster.
