Improved Parry states

Special: If an incoming attack misses you, you may add OR remove one recharge token from one of your melee attacks.

Am I missing something? why would you add a recharge token to a melee attack? how does that help a player?

thoughts anyone??

The only melee strike card that has beneficial recharge is the Grapple card. A successful improved parry that increase the grapple recharge may represent you using the opponent's momentum to tighten you lock in a grip that is more difficult to escape.

One of the game mechanics is using the recharge functionality to also represent durations of effects. This is most noticable with spells. However, as mentioned, the Grapple has something similar. There could be future melee cards that end up with a duration-like effect. Thus, FFG have left Imp Parry open to utilize these in the future.
