You can only fire your primary weapon out of the auxiliary arc, so without any other modifiers you can only get 4 dice (5 at range 1).
Kath's primary attack out of aux arc at range 1 will give you 5 dice.

Lots. VCX100 or TIE phantom. N'dru with a 3 dice missile. Lots of pilots with 3 dice primary weapons can use expose for +1 dice.

Any ship with a base 3 die attack as soon as you get it into Range 1. And I have yet to see a game that doesn't have some kind of 'close up and personal' combat.
HLC is not a bad choice it gets you four damage fore and aft, with dengar aboard that's not a ship to take lightly.
Kath + Expose + Experimental Interface.
Evade for the action, EI to Expose, take a stress. That gives you 3+ natural dice + 1 rear arc + 1 expose (+1 if in Range 1) = 5/6 attack dice. The evade action makes up for the loss of 1 Agi. If you aren't worried about getting shot at, then take TL or focus instead. Or for extra lulz, add bombs, because those are actions on cards. Nothing says "funtime" like dropping a bomb on someone, then shooting them with 6 red dice. Also, expose + EI is one point cheaper than HLC.

An unstressed A-Wing with Proton Rockets, A-Wing Test Pilot, Expose, and Opportunist, with a friendly unstressed Jan Ors piloting a Hawk within range-3 and a focused Esege Tuketu within range-2, firing at a target that lacks focus or evade tokens, can throw 8 dice.
It's not the most efficient use of 8 dice ever, but there you have it. (Throw Guidance Chips on as well, and you can do this as a Green Squadron pilot for 30 points -- if you then spend Tuketu's token on the rocket shot, you'll average 7 hits -- pulling this off will require the fulfillment of enough situational factors that it's not terribly feasible, but games are about fun).
Wait . . . hang on . . . Expose is only for your Primary . . . oh well -- 7 dice, and now you can do the focus yourself and cut Tuketu out. Still, 7 dice isn't terrible

If you can get into range 1 of a target with no green tokens, Opportunist Keyan with APTs and Guidance Chips with a boost from Jan Ors is possibly the most accurate 7 dice you'll ever see. As long as you don't roll more than 4 blanks you'll end up with 7 hits/crits.

Get Manaroo to throw her a focus/TL. A complicated set of hoops to jump through, but man that would be a lot of pain, especially if you had Zuckuss on Kath to re-roll any evades they got.......................
Well, the whole point of rolling with EI and expose is that EI can trigger Expose for the cost of a stress, leaving Kath's first action to either focus or TL if you aren't worried about generating an evade. Dice modification is certainly available, so I wouldn't call it a "trap". Expose simply happens to be one of the few cards right now that EI can make use of.
While we're on the topic, N'Dru @ 28 points - Assault missiles, opportunist, glitterstim and guidance chimps rolls 6 dice at range 2-3, if they don't have any tokens. 5 dice if they do, and deals 1 splash damage to anything in range 1 if it hits.
