Rogue Squadron flies again!

I thought the general forum might like this too! https://community.fantasyflightgames.com/topic/219663-200-pt-epic-rogue-squadron/

As a lover of aces squadrons, I am of course a fan of the elite rebel daredevils, and have here a themed build from them, that I actually think is reasonably strong, but I wanted you guys to take a look.

Wedge: Push the Limit, BB-8, Engine Upgrade

Wes: Veteran Instincts, R3-A2, Integrated Astromech

Hobbie: Targeting Astromech, Integrated Astromech

Tycho, A-Wing Test Pilot, Expert Handeling, Adaptability, Chardan Refit

Corran Horn: R2-D2, Outmaneuver, Fire Control System

Ibtisam: Advanced Sensors, Elusiveness

I have only run it twice, it did well against an Imperial Aces and mini swarm, lost Tycho early do to bad planning and rolls on my part, but he landed hits before he died. No other losses that game, the bomber couldn't lock and Hobbie protected Wedge from a defender with blocking. Later it took on a Scarlet list with a bunch of thug Y-Wings and Zs. Wedge arc dodged the bombers, and they couldn't lock Tycho, and Wes stripped the worse target locks. Ib just won't die, and demands you focus fire on her if you don't want her shooting, but the other rebels pose such a threat. Corran got lucky and put Scarlet at 1 hull first round, then Wedge finished her next move. No losses on my side that game Anyway, any advice? It's a fun build honestly, I love the early damage and surprising movement, not very survivable, but assuming lots of aces die early, the survivors are great at cleaning up, since Tycho, Hobbie, and Ib all fly a bit off radar.

Let me know if anyone tries this or a variant with some success, I've seen other RS builds but never one with this configuration.

Looks very cool, athough Wedge and BB-8 is like, the least themed thing you can do lol.

Yeah, I hated doing that, thing is it makes Wedge a remarkably good flanker, I tried with R7-P9, but it takes 1 vital point putting me at 200, and makes Wedge a jouster with no way to clear stress, so I tend to ignore it, sadly Wedge ha no cannon droid either (Gate isn't in the game) and a generic R2 isn't great. I'm surprised I am not taking flack for no PTL Tycho lol

I think it gives him a kind of Wedge feel, taking his X-Wing to new limits with masterful piloting.

Might be worth it to take expert handling and a R2 or R2D2 on wedge and have some turns with target locking and other turns with barrel rolling, and saves you 3-6 points to put something on someone else.

Don't forget Sensor Jammer on Ibtisam if your going for the elusiveness EPT. Or you could stick Jan Ors and Juke on her and still have Sensor Jammer for a focus consuming monster rivaling that of Wes. Also with that setup, she will ALWAYS shoot the rebel captive first. Recommend a psych examination at the end of it though.

Sensor Jammer would be good, I need that pack, I would hate to lose Wedge's stress free triple action though, it keeps the heat off of Corran and Wes it seems, and certainly away from his wingman Hobbie, who has proven to be a beast at surprise attacks.
