I went to my first ever tournament, placed 54th out of 70, which I was pleased with. Unfortunately in most games I didn't manage to fire the Homing Missiles on my TIE Advanced Prototype, as getting TL, range, and arc rarely came together. I still think there's something in that list, but want to try something different for my next tournament. I still want a strong Alpha strike, but thought I'd try something other than ordnance to achieve that.
========== Raging FOs ==========
100 points Pilots ------
“Youngster” (19) TIE Fighter (15), Rage (1), Hull Upgrade (3)
“Epsilon Leader” (19)
“Omega Leader” (26) TIE/fo Fighter (21), Comm Relay (3), Juke (2)
Omega Squadron Pilot (18) TIE/fo Fighter (17), Draw Their Fire (1)
Omega Squadron Pilot (18) TIE/fo Fighter (17), Draw Their Fire (1)
Is five enraged TIEs enough to take down a Jumpmaster in an initial engagement? I don't think I'm skilful enough to fly more (they need to be in range 1 of Epsilon leader to get help de-stressing). I am hoping that Draw Thei Fire will spread a couple of crits onto the generics' shields, and make the mini-swarm that bit more survivable and last a little bit longer. If I can get to an end-game with Omega Leader still standing, then I'll feel I've done well.
Any thoughts?
