I've been considering a "Battlestar Galactica: Wings of Glory"
So I like what you're doing and hope FFG consider doing an official starship and starfighter game based on BSG. Perhaps even a "Cylon Assault" ground game. Perhaps when the rumoured movies start.
Would rather it was based on classic BSG.
Can you tell me which sets those are?
Looks like the pieces from the Battlestar Galactica board game.
Aren't they Mel's Miniatures?
On second thoughts the Basestar is way too small.

The problem is IMO there aren't enough warship classes in either version to support a game like Armada. New you can dip into the Online game, Deadlock, or both to fill out the fleet. Classic you would have to go pretty much pure fanon or developer created for anything other then the basic battlestar and basestar classes.

If two Battlestar classes + classic battlestar against a tide of new and classic basestars is not enough for you there is always the "crossover".
I think it would be cool bsg deadlock has some good designs that fit with the asthetic could make plenty of ships.
The first Cylon war would be a good time frame before the armistice.

I don't need 30 different ships, just 4 good are enough, when did you used more than 4 ships in a 100 points x-wing game?

I wouldn’t know, I play Armada, which is why I hang out on the Armada forums and discuss Armada and off topic things in Armada context ?

This might have your interest. Didn't go anywhere, but it was a start.

There are some Titanium series micro machines of the galactica and Pegasus that would fit the scale nicely. I'm not sure how hard those are to find. I know Eaglemoss has started a new Battlestar Galactica series of models.
Well.. there is this.. From Ares games.. A variation of Wings of war. http://www.aresgames.eu/20715

Good news for you - it'll be at Gen Con. I had some question answered about the game here:
I was hoping Ares would have some of the stuff for this here at origins, they have a booth, but I didn't see anything.
Are they going to actually have point values for things? Biggest hindrance to actually play their games.
Will they be getting different people to run demos? Twice now I have gone into the Ares booth at Gencon to demo a "X of Glory" game and the guy doing the demo was so bad, and had such a poor understanding of the rules that I was talked out of buying it.

Why not both? Then we're all happy and more waves for an already limited set.
Unfortunally it seems that Ares, went for very large capital ships so that the "slightly larger than X-Wing" Miniatures could fit somehow to the captial ships.
Lets see how that works.
