The Great Gentleman Dengar & His Best M8 4-LOMate

By Cosmopolitanchykowianechka, in X-Wing Squad Lists

I know i'm posting many threads now, but i wanna try Dengar and Mist Hunter, which i have lastly bougt.

64pts. the great gentleman Dengar w/ PTL, Proton Torps, Xtra Munitions, K4 (couldn,t take Dengar ;_;, so taken torps), Unhinged, Glitterstim, TPO, EU;

36pts. and his best m8 4-LOM8 w/ Stay on Target, Outlaw, Electronic Baffle (if wanna get rid of 2nd stress or do action after red manouver), Mist Hunter (tractor), Hull Upgradage;

Any thoughts how to suit those two nice gentelmans into playable roster?

I'm not sure hull upgrade is worth the points on 4-LOM, it is a more valuable upgrade the more agility you have. With those points you could go to advanced sensors instead of baffle and still save a point. That gets an initiative bid with your PS9, at least.

4-LOM wants to get in close so he can dump off that stress token, but he is pretty squishy. Take the evade action as much as you can, and use outlaw tech's focus on defense if you have the chance. Use it on offense if it lasts that long.

Dengar really needs to keep people in arc, so take advantage of the white sloop, even if it doesn't clear stress. You can always do a green maneuver to clear it next round. Those are the turns you probably want to use the glitterstim. You have triple action economy on a green, so use the stim when you are actionless.

Thanks for advice form the real gentleman (pic). It will help me flying Dengar. What do you mean with baffle-> adv sensors(4-LOM8) and initiative on PS9(Dengar)? I've taken HU, to have 1 more baffle use, that was the idea.

He means you use advanced sensors to use your action before you move, that way stress doesn't play into it. You should be looking to pass stress of to opponents, and baffle seems counter-intuitive to that goal. You may want to look at Navigator as well, this way, you can take literally any maneuver on your dial, it just becomes a red maneuver.
