We Need New Scum Titles & Salvaged Astromechs

I feel that some titles are desperately needed for S&V. FFG will probably fix the HWK-290 with one. Also, I think Scum could use a few more 'mechs so we can have a little variety.

What Title upgrades or Astromechs would you like to have for Scum?

Here are a couple of my ideas:

"Steel Pecker" (non-unique)

HWK-290 Only. Title.

When attacking with your primary weapon, roll 1 (or 2?) additional Attack dice.

3 points.

"Restored C1"

Salvaged Astromech.

At the start of the Combat phase, if you are not already stressed, receive one Evade token. Then receive one Stress token.

Still don't understand the "HWK needs fix" discussion. It has a 1 attack primary, and for some reason this seems to boggle people's mind. Well, last time I checked, it never attacks with that anyways since it has a turret. The HWK is probably number 8 on my list of ships that need fixes.

And ya, more Salvaged Astromechs would be nice. Sure we will get some more when we get more ships that use them.

Yah, the scum hwks (at least torkil and palob) are actually quite good already, they really don't need a fix.

The TLT was all the HWK needed.

FFG should FAQ the Scyk titles to be free, it won't completely fix the no autothrusters Scyk, but at least tractor beam becomes viable on them.

Yeah I'm not sold on "fixing" a Scum Hwk when they're legitimately good as they are. Even if you gave me that option of a 3 point upgrade from 1-2 red dice, I'd still take the Ion or TLT. In fact, I ran Palob with an ICT at the weekend and he was the scourge of every table he hit. It was glorious, and all for bargain bin points.

If there was a title or mod that allowed you to use that 4 straight as a K, I'd take it though.

I'd like to see more Scum crew, though. I know there's a bunch there, but I feel like they're all so **** thematic it's defining the finally defining the faction (and that's a great thing). It's a series of dirty tricks and traps, and I'm all for it. The salvage astromechs could use some diversity, but I like where they're going. They need a few more ships to be mounted on before we get more, though. Maybe a mod that sacrifices a crew slot for an astro? Seems fluffy and gives potential combos.

Instead of (or in addition to, as would be more likely) more salvaged astromechs, I'd like to have another ship on Scum with that upgrade slot. A small base fighter of some kind with some maneuverability.

I'm coming up blank trying to think of something, though.

I'd like a better title for the firespray for both factions.

Slave 1 is pretty meh. Though extra munitions makes it slightly more useful now.

Andrasta is decent, but mainly for emon.

I'd wager that both firespray titles are the least used titles in the game.

At the end of the activation phase, you may perform a white 1-straight maneuver.

Salvaged Astromech

C1-1P "Clipper" Unique 3 points.

When defending, you may roll one fewer defense die to recover one shield up to your shield value or you may discard a shield to roll one extra defense die.

(basically Miranda's ability for defense)

Salvaged Astromech

"Distractobot" Unique: 2 points

At the beginning of the combat phase, choose one enemy ship who has you in his firing arc. Remove one focus or evade token from that ship.

Because some people think every ship in the game needs to be a four-red-dice-throwing barrel-rolling engine of destruction or else it isn't any good.

I'll take that bet, and put my money on the Heavy Scyk title. I've seen people take the Slave 1 and Andrasta titles for giggles, just because they were free and they were running Boba/Kath.

No, only the top 4 might need help, and the higher the ship, the worse it is. So the G1-A is much better than the Scyk. Everything after the G1-A doesn't need anything at all in my opinion.

Maybe jut a slight one. They could easily do this by making some more decent upgrades it can take. It definitely doesn't need to e in an aces pack.

Heavy Scyk, ST-321, Virago, Andrasta, Moldy Crow, Slave 1.

That's my utterly uninformed, total shot-in-the-dark guess. Yes, you always take Virago when you're running a StarViper, but how often does anyone really run a StarViper?

ST-321 gets fast hideously expensive when coupling with Jendon and an ordnance carrier.

In the days of Long-range scanners also doubtful for its price.

Slave 1 is pretty meh. Though extra munitions makes it slightly more useful now.

Long-Range Scanners may change that. The only cost for taking it is the opportunity cost of filling your modification slot. Being able to grab a target lock while out of combat is a decent bonus. I don't take target lock actions when I play Firesprays very often, so not being able to get range 1-2 target locks isn't much of a drawback.
