Okay, so I want to put a bit of melee characters in my army. I am debating whether to go with rWookie Warrior or Diala. The build is sort of similar to last Rebel build:

Leia Organa

Gideon Argus

C-3PO

eRebel Trooper

eRebel Trooper

Then either

Wookie Warrior + On A Diplomatic Mission

OR

Diala + Alliance Smuggler

for the remaining 9 pts

Wookie Warrior are just so beefy with a total of 22 hps, but I like the synergy Diala + Leia bring to the table. Leia can attack, give Diala a second attack, gaurantee the hit w/removing the dice roll for a discard of a Command Card and recoup that (or any) Command Card. Both also have Recover +2, but theres a difference of a lot of hps on the table.

Thoughts/suggestions?

Wookiees for sure. Diala is an excellent 5pt choice, but she costs 7.

As long as they can avoid Stuns the wookiees are very strong...and Cleave is a real threat.

I REALLY like Diala, but she just dies to easily.

Like the last time I played with her, she removed both of Vader's defense dice with Element of Surprise and her own ability. It was glorious.

Then she died in a couple of shots from stormtroopers.

Wookies are great.... however, if you want them to deal damage, you really need to buy them the Fury of Kashyyk upgrade. If you want them to just be tanks and soak damage then they are fine by themselves.
If you want a melee character, take Varena Talos. She's 1 point more than Dalia and much better. Works great with a pair of wookies guarding her. She's much tougher and puts out good damage without being limited to melee only. And she's great against those hard hitters like Vader, RGC or pretty much anyone else with a 3 dice attack. She's very flexible.

Also as a side note regarding the rest of your list.... there isn't really anyone for Leia to command. You really want to have another 3 dice attack to make best use of Leia's ability. Using her to command a trooper to shoot again is a waste. You may as well take Fenn at that point.
