Dengar Help

Hi guys, can anyone advise me how to play Dengar or rather a nice competitive list? Thx

I've flown Dengar in a few different builds based on what he has for surrounding support. At Regionals this year, I ran Dengar + Predator + R5-P8 + Punishing One + 4-LOM. This totals to 52 points. He was highly effective for the most part - especially in tackling aces. I've also seen several people fly him with PTL + Unhinged Astromech + K4 Securitt Droid + Punishing One + Engine Upgrade for 56 points. I've also toyed around with Dengar + Wired + Zuckuss (crew) + Punishing One + R5-P8 or Unhinged. All of these builds can be effective - it just depends on what else you want to fly along side him.

Usually with Dengar I'm not so worried about triggering his ability as I am about forcing my opponent to perform maneuvers that they typically would not to avoid his arc. Sometimes the best ability is passive - it just changes how your opponent plays their game. I also typically like to set up on the left side of the board because of the white S-Loop - I want to sloop towards the board edge usually. I will also fly Dengar through the asteroid to force my opponent to come into the asteroid field. Dengar is maneuverable enough to dance around the rocks.

I understand that feeling - I battled with that for my Regionals build. I finally settled on Boba, although I'm thinking there are better options available. I've been thinking about 3x Binarye Pirates + Feedback Array or trying for the two ship build: Dengar + PTL + K4 + EU + UA + PO and Moralo Eval + "Mangler" + Boba Fett + Zuckuss + K4 + Inertial Dampeners. I have not tested the second list - but it looks like fun.

I like the option with z95array

I just have to figure out what, and the style of play of the Jumpmaster

I'm finding there are a couple of keys to Dengar. First is to make use of a surprisingly unpredictable dial, those green threes from the astromech are golden. 3 bank right one turn, 1 hard left the next with boost and barrel roll gives huge repositioning ability. Add to that a TL so you still modify dice.. I love the ship in its Dash inspired super form.

The second has already been stated by ryanhpayne1. I let my opponent worry more about his ability triggering than I do myself. I try to leverage his arc as a massive "nope I don want to go there" zone. If it gets to trigger, bonus.

I've flown him with a loaded Guri which works well as she can be surprising,y tough to deal with and also a lightly loaded IG-C. Both seem to work well but while I have run it against the better players in my area I haven't gone to a tourney with it yet.

Dengar,second you can compete in the current meta?

I've thought about trying the 56 pt Dengar with a pair of Cartel Mauraders, possibly with either Dampeners or Feedback Arrays on them.

That is tricky question. You can find some ideas here. You can also consider JM Manaroo DeadEye + Recon + Ext Amunition + R4 + GC + Ion Torps so she can still support Dengar (transfer 2 focuses) while Dengar can do Boost + BR all the time. At the same time she hits hard and you got some counter to swarm list via Ion Torps. This build hits 98 points to have some room to counter PS9 (whisper, fel) etc.

I have had some good success with this version I also like swapping out for Predator, Bossk, Unhinged.

I like the idea of Gunner on Boba - part of my issue with him is that he struggled at Regionals to deal significant damage outside of R1.
