After the second round it was it was clear that Luke or myself was going to win regionals. it was a close game. I was first player and chose his Precision Strike as the objective we both scored 7 victory points so it was not a game changer. the game was decided on 1 poor activation of my bombers 4 Scurgg firing into luke's Demo for blank, blank, 1 hit, 2 hits it allowed it to live 1 more round then it should have but all was not lost the game was in no way decided yet. that would come from a lucky long range roll into my MC80 with 3 hull no shields from one of his VSD he rolled crit, 2 hits, blank rerolled the blank with a token to a 2 hit 5 in total no way out boom. after round 5 the game was done my full health AF was moving away and his last remaing VSD had only lost shields the last round he took off another bomber leaving me with 2 he still had all his bombers Holwrunner and 2 interceptors. finished in a 7-3

It was a fun day everyone had a good time one of the guys who came with me in my car only wanted dice and he won them. He was the happiest one in the car on he way home :)

4th place Luke has a write up of his experience and photos here

Thanks for the reports!

I am going to include this with the rest of our Regionals data. Looks like you had a good time.

Victoria Australia?

Victoria Australia?

Yes Victoria (the greatest state in) Australia

Being an Ex-Pat Gippsland Boy, which Venue held it?

... and if that Angus is a Somerville, I will give him such a nipple-crippling next time I see him....

Victoria Australia?

Yes Victoria (the greatest state in) Australia

Not the greatest at Armada though, eh?

;) :P

Oh ****....Turbolasers fired

Being an Ex-Pat Gippsland Boy, which Venue held it?

... and if that Angus is a Somerville, I will give him such a nipple-crippling next time I see him....

. . .is this English?

And also, let me say - VSDs! VSDs! VSDs!

Glad to see those old clunkers are faring so well.

. . .is this English?

We're Australian, we're speaking the Queen's English here...

... What, are you ears painted on or something?

Great at Armada but not so great with dice ;)

Great with spiders, too. There are people here in the States that would die just seeing some of those massive beasts you Australians have in your friggin' houses.

Should have put a few more points into Luck rather than Intelligence. :P

I was sixth with:

- Victory II Star Destroyer; Tarkin, Warlord, Intel Officer.
- Victory II Star Destroyer.
- Gladiator I Star Destroyer.
- Dengar.
- 2 TIE Advanced.
- 7 TIE Interceptors.
400 Points.
Most Wanted, Minefields, Hyperspace Assault.

Round 1: I was smashed (9-1) by playing far too timid against 1 ISD, 1 VSD and 7 squadrons. Advanced Gunnery.

Round 2: I did the smashing (9-1) against Home One, MC30c, Corvette and six mixed squadrons. Opening Salvo.

Round 3: I just got there (7-3) against 1 ISD, Insidious, Demolisher, Raider and two TIE-Fighter squadrons. Hyperspace Assault.

I got my Top 8 dice!

Great with spiders, too. There are people here in the States that would die just seeing some of those massive beasts you Australians have in your friggin' houses.

in the US 6.6 people die a year from spider bites in OZ no one has died from a spider bite since 1979 despite 2000 people being bitten per year and ours are more poisons

I guess its safer to live with danger

A lot of us just call them 'pets'.

no it's the GERMANS with enormous beers

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NT_Draught

"A Darwin Stubby refers to several large beer bottle sizes in Australia. It was first introduced in April 1958 with an 80-imperial-fluid-ounce (2,270 ml; 76.9 U.S. fl oz) capacity.[2] The 2.25-litre (76.1 U.S. fl oz; 79.2 imp fl oz) Darwin Stubby has an iconic,[3] if kitsch status in Australian folklore."

its hot over here most of the time so we drink smaller cans/bottles but we make up for it with volume. That way the beer you drinking is always cold

after all the biggest first world problem is warm beer

Let's take a look at him: http://adb.anu.edu.au/biography/resch-emil-karl-8510

In the first paragraph About Emil it says, "Emil was born on 15 February 1860 at Aalen, Württemberg..."

Aalen, Wurttemberg, GERMANY

https://www.google.com/search?q=Aalen%2C+Württemberg&oq=Aalen%2C+Württemberg&aqs=chrome..69i57j0l3.2745j0j4&client=ms-android-att-aio-us&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8

So effectively your company that brews Giant beers is actually German

:P

Eh, if you are going to stretch things that far, then there's nothing "American" other than what's on Reservations...
