Neutral stance - what side of card?

By Lucas Adorn, in WFRP Rules Questions

I can't find anywhere in the book where it states which side you use when you are in neutral stance. The way I see it you must inevitably end up being in Neutral stance from time to time when in combat. You start in it and it says nowhere that you must move to either conservative or reckless stance. and what if you wish to change from one to the other during a fight? you will cross the neutral stance.

So far i'm just asuming you use the conservative side without being able to convert stance dice.

There is a default stance assigned to you at character creation and whenever your stance meter changes (as in adding and removing new pieces.) When in neutral stance, you use the side corresponding to your default stance.

I can't find it on the forums. But it was answered here already.

Your neutral stance is your default stance. Your default stance is determined by which side you have more points on, (e.g.- a Troll Slayer has a default reckless stance). If your stance meter is equal on both sides then you pick a default stance during creation.

Looks like someone beat me to it.

I see. thanks both.

This is explained in one of the "example" boxes. I don't have my rulebook in front of me, but IIRC it's on a right-hand page towards the top, showing Stance pieces. The text discusses this.
