This late afternoon we will play a 400 pts X wing vs Tie Fighter event of destruction. No.SSRs, simple 6 x 4 play area, 12 rocks and lets fun. Only 2 named pilots per side, and as a T 65 fix 2 free points for upgrades OR EU paying only one pt.

I will fly 6 Red Veterans with R2 and EU. Same PS and my pal is much more entusiastic about named than I am, so he will fly Luke and Tarn.

I fear a Youngster plus PTL, and 100% sure Howlrunner.

If a fifth player can negotiate a little free time with his wife, he will appear as Scum player with twin broboths firing at will.

3 Veterans, 2 Novice, Luke. Backstabber, 4 Black, 4 Obsidian, 1 Academy. A draw, and one last beer.

Best moment : Megatraffic Jam in the center of the play area. Not very imaginative day.

The best EPT for Youngster is Crack Shot. I don't know what you're going on about with helping other TIEs, Youngster is just a cheap TIE with an EPT, nothing more.

Um, Holysorcerer, Crackshot isnt an action EPT, so I'm not sure why you think this works on Youngster, at all! Youngster's ability is that other TIEs get to use his EPT if it is an action .

And if you just use him for a cheap level 6 pilot with an EPT then you are using him very wrong, and wasting a very useful ability.

I'd say Expose is quite useful on Youngster...having a swarm of fighters all Exposing and increasing to 3 damage on a couple Rebel targets usually results in dead Rebels. Its even better if you have the points and choose to make Youngster's friends all Crackshot Black Squadron fighters....Expose with Crakshot is nasty!

I would've thought the X-wings would go with a couple Ion Torpedoes. That could really screw with a Tie Fighter formation, especially with Howlrunner.
