Campaign Allies question.

By Doctor X, in Imperial Assault Rules Questions

When Allies are received as a scenario reward, does the player get the regular or elite version of those allies? For example, I just bought the Alliance Smuggler. If the Rebel player wins the scenario, do I give him the grey card or the red one for his ally? So far, I don't think I've seen a scenario that has them listed in red to determine.

Heroes receive the regular deployment card (unless it's an unique ally). If they gain the same ally a second time, they gain the elite deployment card. (Currently only possible for Rebel Troopers, but not possible for Rebel Saboteurs , because you can't by the rules include more than one green mission that grants the same ally.)

See Rebel Allies from the RRG. It has other relevant rules for allies.

· If an ally has both a regular and elite Deployment card, only
the regular card can be used as an ally. If an ally is rewarded to
the heroes and the heroes have already earned that ally, they
can use either the elite or regular Deployment card.

Also possible for Echo Base Troopers if you're playing Return to Hoth

Why did you cross out Rebel Troopers? Gideon's Mission (Friends of Old) awards them (though not listed on Gideon's card, and I think this is intentional) and there is a green mission (Brace For Impact) that also awards them.

I did not remember Echo Base Troopers, so I changed it from inclusive (only rebel troopers) to exclusive (not rebel saboteurs), but I see it became confusing.

Following list for elite non-unique allies attainable in campaign:

- Rebel Trooper

- Echo Base Trooper
