Since I made a promise, here goes nothing:
I decided to run a simple list of...
MC80 Assault w/ECM, Leading Shots, Engine Techs, XI7, and Defiance
MC30 Torpedo w/ OE, APT, and Foresight
CR90A w/ Rieekan, TRC, and Jaina's Light
CR90B w/ SW7 and Tantive
Wedge, Tyco, and an A Wing
400 Points. No Bid. No Easy Deaths. And ultimately No Wins.
Game 1 vs Stephen
I know Stephen. I've met him at several events in Philly/NJ but we'd never played eachother. Good guy, good opponent. He was running a triple guppy list.

Ultimately I swung the corvettes so wide they hardly mattered. By the time they got into range I'd had gone to full points conservation mode. I ended up with almost nothing past some fighter kills as a few sad superior position tokens. a 3-7 Loss. I completely lost this at deployment and I knew it.

Game 2 vs Weston
I also had met Weston before but never had played in York. Silly nice guy and some awesome paint jobs. He was playing a serious fighter list, and I felt confident.

I had a decent setup, and I was landing hits this time. Sadly, the output was clearly underwhelming. I think we traded shrimps, and he got at least one of my Corvettes. Regardless, it was another loss, 2-8. We went to time, or close to it. He was apologetic for conversing, but ultimately it's better than my usual playing against myself in the basement. Sadly, Rieekan didn't help. Most deaths came post activation.

Side note: They're SKELETOR B-WINGS!!! Tell me I'm wrong! I dare ya! NYYAAAH!!

Game 3 vs Allyn (Hopefully I got the name right)
I never met this guy before, so I'm assuming he's a local. We were the bottom table, fighting for some pride at this point. He opted to give me first player. Say what!?!

I'm guessing if he engaged his flagship Corvette it would have been a worse day for me. Regardless, the inability to hit the broad side of a barn continued. Want an example? Defiance Assault Cruiser, with CF rolled 5 Reds, 2 Blues, and a black into his MC80. Total 2 hits and one accuracy. Leading Shots re-roll on the accuracy. Same. Friggin. Result. 2 hits. No crits. Just vanilla hits. He didn't reach the MC30 for the bonus points, and I didn't touch his CR90. We traded 2 CR90's for 2 Neb B's. And he kicked my rear with fighters. Another loss for me 4-6.

The results: 15th of 16. The only reason I didn't end up in 16th is because a gentleman conceded against my first opponent (Stephen) and had a 0pt round and left early. I'd like to lie to you and said I had a ton of fun. I didn't. It flat out sucks to drive 4 hours to (insert your favorite term for prison ****) and then go sit in a hotel until you go home the next day. I mean it was better than playing alone in my cold, unfinished basement. Well, there is beer in my basement. ![]()
That being said Biggs and the crew out in the 'Burgh treated me great: We hit up breakfast and spoke about the scene there and the excitement for Regionals before hand. I wish I remembered everybody's name. I'm awful at that stuff. And my friends from Philly treated me to a solid dinner at Chipotle afterwards. I mean the people were awfully nice and welcoming. The game however...cruel mistress.
I'm planning to hit the WV event up at the end of the month, as long as work doesn't bone me. It's not been good there lately...probably had a lot to do with me not having a lot of practice going into the regional.
