1 and 2 and maybe even 4 should be set. I don't like the idea of another TIE but well...maybe we have some luck and get the drone, avenger or hunter instead. Naboo fighter is just an idea - since they are mentioned in every forum in the last few months. The posting about the b-prototype I also like. That red B-wing looked pretty awesome. Furthermore this might bring the chance for some basic pilots with ability for the standard B-wing what would be nice also

Honestly have no idea. I'm sticking by my theory that we won't see any Force Awakens ships announced as part of the wave itself - I think that like the T-70, the TIE/fo and the Heroes of the Resistance they'll be announced and released seperately - which rules out the Upsilon and the TIE/sf, but as for what we'll see, I don't have a clue.

The Scurrg and the YT-2000 would seem like options for Scum, but they've got a lot of large based ships already, and if they're playing catch-up to the other factions then maybe they'll get a pair of small based ships?

YT-2000 would also seem like an option for the Rebels... but I doubt they'd release it with the Falcon Redux on it's way with Heroes of the Resistance.

The Empire could probably use another large based ship, which pretty much makes the Upsilon a shoe-in, but as said earlier I think it'll be released on it's own merit rather than as part of a wave.

Haven't the foggiest. Can't wait to find out, though.

Ok so the resistance got a box set so I am guessing it will be a no show in wave 9. I mean there is not much interesting left to give it anyway.

Rebel: ARC-170 (new soldier RPG sourcebook shows crashed ARC, a stretch but I don't have a better guess)

Imperial: Assault Gunboat (Cmon Frank, dooo it)

Scum: Scurrg (They need a heavy Bomber)

First Order: Tie/SF (we know it is coming and part of a box set would be awful for a new ship)

Next Box Set: Rebel Veteran's : E-wing and Y-wing (E-wing needs fixes and Y-wing could use some new and interesting pilots)

I do not expect to see the Upsilon as it is 2x the size of the lambda and that is just too big, it would be like a decimator with 1 foot tall wings. Also it has way less armament. Just seems like a silly ship to bring in. Even worse would be the FO or Resistance Troop transports. I just do not see anything interesting there to explore.

They do have a lot of large base ships, but I don't see that as too much of an issue, really. If anything, it's thematic for smugglers and bounty hunters to be running small freighters like that. I actually thought they were going to go ham on the large base ships as a theme for them when the YV was released; emphasising tanky ships with crew combos and lots of dirty tricks as their trait, with smaller ships as support/screens.

According to the Wookie the K-Wing is only 16meters long, Shadowcaster is 20 and Scurrg is 22 so Scurrg and Shadowcaster would need to be large based. I agree that Scum need a heavy bomber but it also needs to be small based imo.

I'm certainly not "in the know," but it would surprise me a little if we see too much more coming from the EU (at least for a while.) I'm expecting to see ships from Rebels, TFA, and maybe Rogue One.

In any event, I would really like to see some more S&V ships that are a bit more competitive; particularly since it's apparently going to be possible for Rebels to use Illicit upgrades, which were like the closest thing Scum had to a unique advantage.

I apologize if these have been mention and I missed it.

Unfortunately, the Meson Martinet didn't make it into TFA, even though her captain did. Still, it's in some cannon fiction, so I guess it's not impossible.

But another prediction for a new S&V ship could be the Broken Horn (Vizago's ship from Rebels.) It's a modified Gozanti, so presumably it would be Huge.

I would also LOVE to see a Scum TIE in the form of the yellow-painted modified Mining guild TIEs from Rebels.

Yeah, the Scurrg would be on the smaller end of the Large-Based ships. It's slightly larger than the Aggressor, which is probably the smallest of the "Large" ships.

Tbh, a Tie sf can just be represented as a title card (like the tie shuttle).

That would be depressingly lazy. The TIE Shuttle has very little externally-visible difference from the TIE Bomber (only the lack of a bomb chute underneath), while the TIE/sf has several things different from the TIE/fo that would show up clearly on the miniature. A larger comm antenna (as in, large enough to maybe be worth including on a 1/270 scale model), prominent fuel cells where the struts attach to the solar panels (since the expanded cockpit doesn't leave room for them inside the hull), the ion engines/reactors offset to the sides of the hull (for the same reason), a rear viewport for the gunner, and of course the bottom-mounted turret. Incidentally, I really hope FFG puts the attachment point for the stand on the back of the hull, say just below the gunner's viewport, so that the turret can be fully detailed.

And as for the debate on whether the TIE/sf should have a turret in gameplay terms, while it literally is a turret, the fact that the solar panels would realistically block it from firing outside the front and rear arcs tells me it should be given a rear auxiliary arc instead.

Scum don't have any ships from the Rebels show yet. I think there's quite a good chance to see a Fang Fighter in Wave 9. I think it's likely the rest may be Rogue One related, one for each faction.
