That was my thought. Exposing bare skin to vacuum causes it to expand, very painfully - a guy lost pressure in his glove back in the '60s and his hand swelled to twice its normal size.

I mean, I can see Kath Scarlett going around bare midriff. But Howlrunner? Juno Eclipse? Whisper? Nope.

Besides, it's a uniform. One size fits all - even if a pilot is smuggling sweater puppies to shame even the most endowed anime heroine.

Easy enough to fix, though, just color the midriff to match the suit!

The TIE/sf is pressurized, sure. But that's a shielded ship that doesn't turn up until 20+ years after the Civil-War-era pilots were flying; clearly the First Order doesn't have the Empire's "disposable" view of their pilots.

And that first one is supposed to be Ysanne Isard? I was okay with her being Scarlett, but Isard does kind of have a... unique look to her hair, and there's the small fact that she was never a pilot, but a politician, spy, and admiral.

They're cute (ish) but man do the girls annoy me. Even my fiance just now took a look over my shoulder and said, "Why are their midriffs bare?"
