Your guess is as good as anyone's on wave 9 but you should check the main board as there area bunch of similar threads that might be of interest

To avoid angering your wife you could "accidentally" run over your old Falcon. Order the new one as a replacement. Women are smart, so best you pretend annoyance. "This isn't what I ordered!" Then just sigh and yield: "suppose this will have to do". Or just have a friend buy it as a gift for you and pay him back later. Whichever is easier in your situation.

As to when a Wave 9 announcement might come. Have you checked the temperature in hell lately? If it's getting cold it's nearly time ;P

So what ships should go in that expansion? Entirely new scum ships plus new pilots and upgrades for existing ones, or just alternate paintjobs for existing ships?

Maybe FFG is going to announce new X-wing only one time a year at Gen Con. Perhaps many months from now they will preview wave 9 and wave 10 at the same time along with Scum Aces and Rebel Veterans. It will go down as the greatest day in X-wing history. Might even crash the forums.
