I run the cloaking device on guri in one of my lists. It's only there for rounds when I think she's in danger of taking a lot of attacks and want the extra defense. If it helps me for that one round then explodes, doesn't bother me if it kept her alive. I think I've also used it once or twice when I was in a bad position and wanted to be able to reposition before moving the next round (where again, even if it explodes I still get to decloak).

In place of Autothrusters? I think I'd prefer a non-action bonus when you're at range 3 or out of arc (which she can be, in a furball or vs. turrets).

As IG88E said, cloaking is an illicit so I still have autothrusters. And I run her in a list with manaroo, both with mindlink, so even if I'm using my action to cloak, between mindlink, manaroo and her ability, I have anywhere from 1-4 focus tokens to modify the dice.
