Another day, another $50 X-wing package

Stupid observation but is this the answer to imp vets?

Maybe. It would make sense from a standpoint of trying to keep imperial and rebel releases relatively equal, but on the other hand, the E-wing really needs a fix and I don't think Prow Thrusters is the T-65 fix, so we might see a Rebel Veterans pack. I'd like to see a Scum Epic ship or Scum Aces pack before that happens, though.

Also, HotR is cheaper than buying a T-70 and a Falcon, so color me confused as to the pricing complaint.

What if you own four T-70's have already repainted one as Poe and don't really care about his ps change, you do want the falcon but not the t-70 you're paying $15 for stuff you don't want.

Especially with the repaint packs, I think it's easy to lose sight of the fact that you're not really paying for the plastic--you're paying for the time and effort that goes into developing that new content. And I think in this case it's smart to keep in mind that unless you're absolutely sure you don't have any interest in fielding either of the ships in the pack, there's unspoiled content you might end up really liking.

No, even in that case you're paying $15 for three new YT-1300 pilots and a giant pile of upgrades.

GET AFTER HIM VORPS!!!

Then ask around in your playgroup if anyone wants the T-70 stuff and not another Falcon. If we lived in the same city I'd probably be interested in such a split.

Maybe it's just me (and it probably is), but coming from Magic, HeroClix, MechWarrior, Battletech, and a huge variety of other games, X-Wing has one of the lowest cost investments and most relaxed release schedules of any game I've ever played. You can field many top tier lists buying less than half of the stuff (by focusing on one faction) or just skipping expansions for ships you won't fly, with few exceptions (like Autothrusters for Imperial Aces players).
