Dodonna the Oppressor Wave 3

By Lyraeus, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

Sure, fewer is better but too few and you start getting a lack of information.

If all you have are Rieekan Aces, that is all you know. You don't have the information to defer between a big ship and medium ship setup. This will impact the knowledge gained. Take DeMSU, this one is self explanatory but are they Raider or Gladiator?

That information matters. I am not looking for a detailed breakdown, just a few more clarifications where it is needed. Otherwise we will have too little information and will have to go sifting through the actual lists to get any usable information.

Lyr, would being able to find how common Dodonna, APTs & Intel officers are meet your needs?

Because with a complete database of lists, it should be possible to determine how many of list-set X have upgrades A, B, & C. I've got a pivot-table floating in my minds eye, and I think I should be able to do something like that.

I think there would be some limit to what I can have a spreadsheet do, so I probably couldn't do the same thing for an arbitrarily long list of upgrades, but 2 or 3 is doable.

And then you could say that X% of rebel MSU lists are a DtO subtype (i.e. have all 3 upgrades, and are an MSU)

OTOH, if you define DtO as having some number of intel officers, some number or TRCs, etc, I don't think I could code that as easily. Well, I could write a DtO specific test, but that's not as generally useful as giving any user the ability to see how prevalent some combination of upgrades are. Someone who knows real coding could do just about anything, but I just do Excel.

Mind you, this isn't a promise, but I could try to fit the feature into what I'm already planning on working on.

I wouldn't need to find out how many lists were DtO but it would be nice.

The key is that every ship capable have TRC's (more than 50%) and that at least 50% of ships have Intel Officers. The MC30's are also important since they are a hammer so 1 of those minimum thigh I have not risked building a list with just 1.

You have me curious now. I cant wait to see what you have.

Being able to check lists for how many upgrades they have or what upgrade they use and even what squadrons they use would be amazing!

Lost my first Vassal game of the Wave 3/4 tournament. . . It was due to a ram with my MC30. From there it coat me the game.

It won't be valid because the tractor beams won't work against small ships.

:P

sorry. I'll see myself out.

Show me a single statement from FFG or the rules that says that and I will concede defeat
