As they've illustrated it, it's a nice piece of art and a decent-looking ship, but I still think it falls too much into the "stick another one on it" school of Expanded Universe ship design. Would've looked great if the original Nebulon didn't already exist.
I have fond memories of flying against these bad boys in the old X-Wing flight Sims. Both Nebs were scary.

It looks like a screenshot asset right out of the games (90's graphics and all). So yes, a slightly uparmoured Nebulon B would be neat. Admittedly, I'm not entirely sure what role it would serve any more than a slightly quicker, less resilient, de-powered VSD. It feels redundant, but I'd be willing to hear how they wanted to make it 'special'.

It's an Imperial card and looks like it's coming in a pack with Screed.

An Imperial pack with Screed. Hmm, interesting. I suppose it is typically an Imperial 'recognized' vessel though both sides used them (like Neb B's, which is why I asked).
Thanks Admiralcrunch, but it's Mel's sculpt, DA's work on the base, and one of my older not quite up-to-par paint jobs. I still love that ship and use it as a GSD II when I'm not using it as a B2. But that's kind of the thing, I haven't a clue as to how the Nebulon B2 would stand out.
Yes I love it. The B2 is one of my favorite designs and one of the best things to come out of TIE Fighter, in my opinion.
In fact it could be the Imperial version of the Nebulon-B, which I think the Empire kind of needs. We lack a cheap red-dice thrower of the likes of the CR-90 or the Nebulon itself. Looking at the lineup, Empire is still predominantly blue/black for their best ships. VSDs are a bit on the weak side and ISDs are expensive. If we had an improved Nebulon-B in the B2, Empire can get a similar red-dice thrower with improved capabilities to fight back and make light ship lists more interesting.
So yeah, I love the B2 and what it could do if brought into Rebellion. I mean the Nebulon already has other variants that are canonized, we just don't know what the Nebulon-K looks like.

But... cheap long range firepower? Something to allow the Empire to reach out and smite their enemies without letting them get into spitting distance?
Clearly you'd disagree Clon, but I'd be interested in something other than blue/black assault ship buffing. Offensive teams with turbolasers linked to 3 red dice out the front would be nice. The reason it can't happen on the Rebel Neb is because of Salvation and Yavaris, but without those titles, would it really be imbalanced? Or would the Empire get another desirable title other than Demolisher?

I would love fpr the Neb-B2 to appear in Armada and the RPG In fact I just thought of something if you turn the B2 sideways it looks like a K so maybe the Neb-K will be based on the B2 design?

I wonder if the B2 could serve the Neb's role in the Imperial fleet. It's primarily a red dice sniper with two blues if you go for the Escort version. The cheapest combination of red dice/double blue AA dice is the Glad-II, but with its black dice that one wants to be close. And the Glad can't take a turbo laser upgrade to get either TRCs or Slaved Turrets.
