When I think of a 6 point "ship" I'm stuck thinking all the way back to some kind of defensive platform or mine.

1-3-1-0 stat line although that 1 will be a PWT!

The dial will have nothing greater than speed 1; it may even be the first to include a "reverse" maneuver measures out of the rear guides instead of the front.

When it comes to upgrades I can see versions with cannon, turrets, and other ordnance. This gives it some teeth but also makes it MUCH more expensive especially when a single hit will destroy it.

I may even give it a self destruct option.

8 is the minimum a ship should cost. 1 full squadron in 100 points.

Light Duty TIE would probably be that at -1 attack, -1 hull.

Autothrusters scoffs at the thought of a one attack die ship.

Until you end up in arc at range 2 of one simply because there's nowhere else to fly.

Droid fighters from the prequels. Not sure about six points though

Only action on action bar would be barrel roll. So no focus or target lock.

Actually the Droid Starfighter had some small ordnance Energy Torpedoes, so the thing would likey have to have focus or target lock to fire those (unless they made ordnance that doesnt require it- though I see that being too good on other people/pilots), but not both. I also see it getting Evade due to being small, but I'm not sure how smart the droid brains were on dodging stuff, so maybe not an evade.

If they bring out a pilot that is point cost less than 12 they should make it unique. I know how cool you think it will be to fly 16 ships in a 100 point list .. but the old 7-ship Tie Swarm showed us that while it looks cool, its a pain in the ass to do and a pain in the ass to watch. It reduces the game to a crawl, increases turn wait time, frustrating for the other player, increases the possiblity of unintentional bump/knock overs of the model and can even make it easier to stall for time.

If it was unique though, it wouldnt be so bad, jsut as a filler.
