Immobiized after turn

By Scharpes, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

Hi all,

a question that came up is whether a hero that gets immobilized after his turn , but before the OL turn , stays with the condition until the end of his next turn. According to wording this is the case, but perhaps there is some other ruling that I'm not aware of.

Strangely, this question came up in our group until now, but new OL loves webtraps so..

Thanks for your answers

Yes, as you said it, the hero will be immobilized since the beginning of his/her turn. Another example can be if the master zombie succesfully uses Grab on a hero, the hero is immobilized outside his/her turn, and will only remove the condition until the end of his/her turn...or if some other effects does it for him/her.

Webtraps are indeed within every Overlord favorite spells, at least for me, they are the second card I perchuse in every campaign, just after the Summoning of the Ravens.

So, in conclusion, yes, the hero will begin the trun immobilized.

" Immobilized: Condition text: You cannot perform move actions or suffer stamina to gain movement points. Discard this card or token at the end of your turn" - It is the end of the turn of those who receive the condition.

For example, if the hero whos trigger the trap fail in the test and receive the condition, he stop the move action, but at end of your current turn, he can readily dispose the condition, but if the hero received the condition has finished his tur n , he can only discard at the end of your next .

Ok all clear then, thank you guys!

Or at which point would you do the poison check and the burning damage for example?

Or did I read your comment wrong? (Or, did I read the conditions wrong?)

Kraisto,

I think you may have misread the comment. As I understood the question, it was, "A hero who becomes immobilized during his turn discards immobilized very soon (end of that same turn) but what about a hero immobilized outside his turn, such as during OL turn?"

I read the response as, "That hero will begin HIS next turn immobilized, and discard at the end of HIS next turn." (This answer happens to be correct, though I also may have read it wrong.)

I think both Volkren and kraisto, well all of you, were to the point -

For me it was just important to confirm that:

When a hero recieves the condition outside of his turn (regardless of whether another hero is still active), he starts his next turn with it. (abilities to remove the condition aside).

My group for some reason followed the logic that all immobilized heroes discard the condition before the OL turn. Which is wrong. Web trap can immobilize an active hero and some hero which already had his turn. The former discards the condition at the end of his ongoing turn, the latter stays immobilized during the OL turn, until the end his next turn.

Simple yet played it wrong.
