"Villains of the First Order" Fan Request: Tail Guns

By DirbYh, in X-Wing

I know FFG likes to wait for the "opportune moment" to release fixes to the game. Regardless of how the Command Shuttle is bundled, it would be a really good chance for a Shuttle Only upgrade that gives both the Lambda and the Upsilon class shuttles a rear firing arch.

Caus' you know, it's not like the Space Whale has problems turning and has a tail gun right on the model or anything.

Just saying, it would be really, really great.

A Palp shuttle with a rear firing arc?

No. Thank. You.

Thematically I understand what you're going for though.

Anti-Pursuit lasers are what those guns are on the model btw.

Those are your anti pursuit lasers. The card is in the pack for that reason. I get what you're saying though, and you wouldn't be the first to call for it, but without a printed rear arc on the base chit, I wouldn't hold my breath on it happening.

First of all if you have an auxiliary firing arc then you will need to change the base. Now imagine doing that for each of the pilots. (I could get away with that in my S&V GR-75 kit because there was no other pilots.)

To be honest I think the TIE SF might as well be a title that gives a TIE-FO a crew and a turret slot for a point or two. Still that would make the TIE-FO one of the cheapest turret carriers in the game.

TIE-SF

TIE-FO Only, title

Your upgrade bar gains a <crew> and <turret> slots.

2 points

If it's getting a turret instead of a rear arc, the /sf will have to be either a PWT, or have a specific type of turret it can take. If it can just take any turret upgrade, I can see ABT swarms happening. Even with that 2-point title for the /fo, you'd be looking at swarming potentially 5 of them with ABT and Intel Agent. That doesn't bear thinking about.

Anti-Pursuit lasers are what those guns are on the model btw.

Rear firing guns = enemy takes a point of damage if they ram into you? That makes no sense at all.

I'd wager the Lambda was tested with an aux arc given how obvious it is and that they decided against it. Same with the A-wing. The ship it ended up on was the Firespray of all things, but I doubt it started there.

Well, a simple aux arc doesn't really make sense for the Lambda either, because it's forward firepower is not the same as it's rear firepower.

A Lambda has 8 guns in the front(represented by it's 3 attack and cannon slot), but only 2 in the back. It needed an aux arc with a different atk value than it's front arc.
