New Sci-Fi Soundboard

By Icosiel, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Hey everyone! I don't know if any of you have ever used tabletopaudio.com, but I've been utilizing it to great effect in my game for years. Recently they started putting up these soundboards that have different themes (starship, battlefield, haunted house, etc.), and they are amazing. I've started using them in my weekly games for opening doors, background noise when droids are talking, mechanical sounds in starports, stuff like that, and it adds such a level of authenticity to my games. That door sound, guys. It's such a small touch but it really makes people feel there.

I couldn't not share this amazing resource with my fellow GMs:

Enjoy!

Very nice, thank you! I also like Syrinscape, but the fact that this will run in your browser without a download (or subscription) is definitely a plus. The Starwars.com soundboard is great, but clunky and bit of a pain to use during a session. The layout on this looks very conducive to tabletop use.

Thanks for sharing!

Getting audio into an online game has been something I've tossed around in my head for a while, and I'm tickled to see that these folks went the route I was considering: broadcasting. So that's a clever solution to the problem! While I feel setting up an online radio broadcast and then managing it in-game is kind of a hassle, using this for sound effects is certainly feasible.
