PSA: Fantasy Flight Don't Hate Your Favourite Faction, Competitive Balance Or You Personally

By Rodafowa, in X-Wing

Honestly FFG CEO Christian Peterson may not personally like some of us very much.

But in regards to overall game its pretty well balanced between factions and the DESIGNERS (and their helpers) of this game are awesome!

So no the designers don't have a favorite faction or hate anyone etc.

Excellent message, Rodafowa. But ...

This is a natural and understandable consequence of literally all of us being self-obsessed monkeys who are terribly good at seeking out patterns even when those patterns don't exist.

I just can't help but point out that we are not monkeys. We share a common ancestor with monkeys, but we are not monkeys, nor have we descended from monkeys. There's everyone's evolutionary biology lesson for the day. Cheers!

Until the Gunboat is released and is actually a decent ship I am convinced everyone hates me.

Even other people who want the Gunboat.

Especially you, Ted.

Not that Ted, the other Ted.

What about Steve? I didn't want to say anything, but Steve is always talking smack about the gunboat behind your back....darn you Steve!

You must be talking about Scuba Steve. Darn you Scuba Steve! I hate that guy especially with strawberries.

Well, if we're going to nitpick, you're right--but only because the ape clade split from the old world monkeys about 25 million years ago.

But we are apes, in every meaningful sense: morphological and molecular evidence nest us quite comfortably inside the great apes. There's no meaningful definition of "ape" that doesn't include humans.

CLEARLY FFG DOESN'T GIVE A FIG ABOUT COMPETITIVE BALANCE BECAUSE THEY HAVE NOT YET RELEASED THE ASSAULT GUNBOAT OR THE E-WOK GLIDER

Um- nothing, sorry, carry on :)

It sounds like people are sad that the rebels veteran box is the falcon and t70.

If scum get nothing they can complain about it, I feel. But not to much. :P

I'm completely on board with what you wrote. I don't disagree with that at all.

On rereading, I come off as much more peevish than I felt at the time. I was aiming for tongue-in-cheek, not irritable!

Well if we go by the teachings of the earliest known civilization, the Sumerians then we are a mixed creation. What the cuneiform tablets tell us then is we are a combination of Homo Erectus and Annunaki DNA. Enki and his sister Ninhursag created the first Adamu to basically be workers for their people. These tablets also mentions the great deluge and how Ziusudra builds a submersible ship to survive it. Once you start looking at man's past by going to the beginning that we know of, you'll realize the bible borrowed a lot of knowledge from the Sumerians, Babylonians, Akkadians, Assyrians, and Egyptians stories with condensed versions.

I thought, when I went to the x wing forums, I would find people talking about x wing ships. I was wrong.

I still hate Tie Phantoms, even after the fix.
