That is correct. You can buy extra credits or XP with your 10 starting Duty in the usual AoR way too.

Okay, now I found this image at https://community.fantasyflightgames.com/topic/190492-wow10-weeks/page-7#entry1876194

I think that clinches it. I have to do it. I have no choice. ![]()
Wow... Just wow. That's impressive, you sir have your Google fu working well today.
It even comes with an addiction obligation.
It'll be a bit before I can post a completed character. Unexpected hospital stays are not fun.
Bugger dude, hope everything is ok.
Okay, so here’s a prototype of my character sheet for Bip-Bip: http://swsheets.com/c/wbaa29hik-bip-bip-koown
Any and all feedback would be appreciated. Especially anything that would help him fit into the group better, whether they are minor behavioural things or more significant modifications.
I had thought I would have him keep Intellect to 1 and Cunning would get boosted to 3, but I had a hard time thinking of ways I could role-play an intellect that low without going to all the Jar-Jar slapstick routines. Besides, there are plenty of guys in the group with a Cunning of 3.
I didn’t actually give this initial version an addiction to Death Sticks, but I could easily do that. I figured maybe he just used them as props and never actually lit them.
I also didn’t find any stats for Bandoleers in OggDude’s generator. So, I bought two Utility Belts and figured I could use them as Bandoleers.
I don’t have any of the text available to me right now for the background, motivations, etc… so I picked ones based on the name that sounded like they might be appropriate, and then I figured I could go back in and tweak them once I see what the full description is.
In essence, I’m thinking that Bip-Bip is very much like the characters Clint Eastwood played in the Spaghetti Westerns. Maybe not quite as hard-bitten, and more amenable to working in a group as opposed to being a loner. Normally, he might wind up being a Marshal, but given the current situation with the Empire, I figure he’d be more of a Gunslinger-for-hire with a heart of silver, if not gold.
EDIT: The more I think about it, if I were to go with an Intellect of 1, I’d balance that with a Brawn of 3. That would increase his Soak by one, as well as increase his Encumbrance capacity, and make him a little less horrible at melee/brawl attacks. But any way you slice it, he’s not the Brains of the group, nor would he be the Social leader of the group.

Been there, done that. A few times. I hope you recover quickly!
I'm impressed with the traction these pasts and open recruitment have given us. Our party is re-forming and gives us renewed vigor!
With only a 3 in Brawn and Presence, I may seem to be a lackluster brawler or bully. However, with the Influence Force Power (and eventually, Enhance* for the boosts to Brawl and Brawn) and the Warden talents, I get a nice dice pool for Coercion. Essentially, I'm planning to play Wude Messen as a narrow-minded bully who sticks up for the Gungan species. His connections to the Force suggest fierce pragmatism, and this (intentionally; Intellect 1) constricts his actions based on who last hurt a Gungan - smash 'em or bully them, instead. Dark Side (or Light Side, if cases be) lightsaber users will be surprised when Wude just grabs their lightsaber with his refined cortosis gauntlets (assuming he still has 'em, but since they look more like gloves than a real 'weapon,' I hope he does!).
* Hmmm...I think I spent only 100 XP on my character.
30 to Brawn 3
30 to Willpower 3
5 + 5 + 15 = Influence Force Power (Basic w/ Mentor + Magnitude + Control: Skills)
5 + 10 = Intimidting and Scathing Tirade talents
+ 1k credits & 5 Duty (Enemy Demoralization)
----------
100 XP + 1500 credits and 5 Duty
If allowed 40+ more, I'd look to bump Brawn to 4.
If allowed at least 15 XP more, I'd buy Enhance with a Mentor discount and two Control upgrades for the eventual Force die boosts to Athletics, Resilience, and Brawl.
If not allowed any more, I'm still good. ![]()

Sending love and light, brother. <<Concentrates on Healing...adds a Boost die to recovery rolls>>
So, has anyone else gotten their copy of “Forged in Battle” yet?
It’s looking to me like it will be very useful in our campaign…. ![]()
With 100 starting and a further earned 80 you have plenty of headroom to play with.
I come from the land down under where FFG books are uncommon
it could be another month for me.
I come from the land down under where FFG books are uncommon
it could be another month for me.
If it helps get books into the list of “Approved for use in this game”, then I think we can solve this problem.
That would be lovely, I'm not stressed about seeing something before use though, I have grown to trust FFG.
Give me a shipping address, and I’ll have one sent to you ASAP.
So, Stimsticks (FiB:53) cost the same as Death Sticks, and if chewed the soft wood will release a stimulant that removes [setback] from Discipline, Perception, Resilience, or Vigilance checks to stay awake or notice something due to fatigue or lack of sleep until the end of the encounter. At the end of the encounter, the character will suffer one strain.
Bip-Bip will have these instead of Death Sticks, and will almost always have one hanging from his lip — unchewed, until such time as needed. If people want to think that they are Death Sticks, he doesn’t mind.
EDIT: On further reflection, I’ve decided to boost his Brawn by one and reduce his Intellect by one. I’ve also adjusted the skills and talents to accommodate for the XP difference.
Edited by bradknowlesI updated my character sheet based on the extra XP available. I broke-down XP investments as follows:
Brawn 2 to 3 = 30
Willpower 2 to 4 = 70
---100 XP spent on Characteristics
2 Basic Force Powers with Mentor Discounts (Enhance and Influence) = 10
Control upgrades for Enhance = 10
Magnitude Upgrade for Influence = 5
Control: Skills Upgrade for Influence = 15
Coercion, 2nd Rank in Career Skill = 10
Career Specialization Talents:
Toughened = 5
Intimidating = 5
Scathing Tirade = 10
Bad Cop = 10
Why do you have Mentor discounts? pretty sure we're (the force adepts of the party) getting an AoR base, not a mentor.
Edited by RakaydosWe have a BASE?!? How far away is it? ![]()
In this case, I'll lose 10 XP. I'll reclaim that XP by dropping the 5 Duty and gain +1k credits + 5 XP, and drop the Toughened talent. I drop two WT, but otherwise look the same. Will edit, and thanks for the catch!
EDIT: Fixed SW Sheet
Edited by cimmerianthiefSo, shooting a plasma ball would be a Sil.0 target, right? Does that increase or upgrade the difficulty?
At Short range, would that go from two purple dice to one purple and one red, or three purple?
Also, do we use the Orokos dice roller? Assuming the difficulty is three purple dice against a Sil.0 target at Short range, then with two ability dice and two proficiency dice plus two boost dice for double-aim, we might see a roll like this:
Ranged Light, Sil.0 target, quickdraw + double-aim: 2eA+2eP+3eD+2eB 2 successes, 2 advantage
Actually Silhouette only comes into account when there is a difference of 2 or more. Difficulty would be Easy, but I would likely through a Setback for it. So DS

So, would this have been an appropriate roll? Witness:
Modified roll based on Richard's suggestion: 2eA+2eP+1eD+1eS+2eB 3 successes, 1 advantage
Yep, that's right.
Sik Lam will not be in this crowd, but will be waiting back at your base, demanding to join the fight. (or else)
