OOC, I'd like to take advantage of angry Gungans who don't want to work, a Rebel ally in Subby, and Wupps' role in the party as a cybernetic droid sympathizer.

IF I can get some vide footage from Subby of the water mining,

AND can use a datapad or nearby computer to access a video or still photo of underwater emergencies that could look similar to our current situation,

I'd like to splice those two images together, to present to our Imperial captors.

I'd like to suggest how the underwater mining problems have already cost X# of Gungan lives, but that sending more Gungans to mine is murder. I suppose Imperials won't care, and ask Gungans to work in the conditions, anyway. Ideally, I'd like my aerial droid to record the Imperial officers acting reckless to known assets to the Empire (Gungan slaves), and refuse a few modifications I could bluff as a way to fix the problem...let's just call it a thermal vent crack that boils the water and weakens the plasma.

So, the "dead" Gungans aren't dead, but retreat to hide with the Rebels, at Subby's direction. I think we could get a dozen Gungans fleeing to the Rebellion on a daily basis, and enough blackmail on the Imperials to have leverage and much needed breaks or more/better equipment. I'll volunteer to cybernetically enhance any Gungans who want to go this route.

I'm the least-likely Gungan to persuade my brothers and sisters to rebel- it's just an out from mining that is equally as dangerous. However, I think I can pull-off computer data and cybernetics checks as needed.

Yup! I think this approach should push the envelope on our Rebel contacts- we're priming the pump.

I can get behind that. It's a basic spy op, so it fits my character as well.

Moppo will be better used by talking with Subby and modifying any video footage for our intended ruse.

However, if those things are easily done, then he'll look to calm the crowd by offering free medical care with the possible/probable use of recycled cybernetics the party could scrounge from the nearby area or a trip to the processing plant.

Leadership is the skill for addressing the crowd, although its tough without some kind of PA system, Average Upgraded once with 2 setback unless you can find a way of using loud speakers. DCSS.

I may as well give you the lowdown on Subby too, he was planted here by the Rebellion to see if they could do anything with the operation. He doesn't have direct communication with the Rebellion, but every time a shipment is collected there is a Rebel amongst the crew of the transport ships, Subby downloads his collected data onto their Datapad while the loading operation is underway. Obviously he is willing to help, although other than being a way of communication he hasn't got much access to the controls of the droids within the facility.

If Bii can get in on that sweet leadership action, he's going for that. It may just take me some time to think of a good IC speech or something. Would you mind giving me a brief synopsis of the entire situation?

Sure. so picture a field full of tents, in a large area of them there are many Gungans shouting things like "Down with the Empire!" and "Kill the Murderers!" There is a lot of tension obviously and its hard to get specific details out of anyone with them so angry. All you know or suspect is that the Empire has done something while you where away fishing and it sounds like Gungans have died.

If things begin to go south in front of the Imperials, I'll simply grab some tools that could be useful without drawing too much attention. I point to the named droid in need of repair and ask him to come along with us. When asked, Moppo will inform the officers that more droids need to be fitted for underwater work. The less said, better. Get new tools, invite a droid for repairs, and scoot.
