The basics:This is an AoR campaign, everyone has Duty and uses the creation rules from AoR, Force Users also have Morality (set at 50 to start)Post character creation everyone gets Padawan" Level: +50 XP and 3000 Credits to smooth off the edges of their concept.

On Onganta 7 is a community of Gungan, displaced by war, who are experiencing great prejudice at the hands of the evil Empire. Exploited for their amphibious abilities buy the Corporations of the world and their Imperial overseers, forced to live in near slavery. Every meal is rationed, every minute counted. There is unrest. But the council of elders seem to do nothing, simply saying things will get better. For the youth of the community this has gone on long enough.Enter our fearless party, together emboldened by their common cause they vow to rise up, to take back control of the lives of their people. To make a safe place for those oppressed by the callous and unjust.

Onganta 7 is the 7th and by far largest of 11 moons of the gas giant Onganta, the only planet in the Onganta System in a little explored part of the Outer Rim, 8hrs and 4 jumps from Trigalis. A semi aquatic moon, with temperate climate, a mix of dense forest and grass plains covers the only major land mass. The oceans are quite deep and home to a large aray of wildlife, but most importantly a major Corporation has discovered large deposits of the rare "Plasma" most notably known from the planet Naboo. The Corporation has relocated Gungans from Naboo to this newly discovered moon to assist in the mining opperations, as well as enlisting a small population of primitive natives to labor on construction programs. At some point the Empire decided it needed the Plasma for special projects more than the Corporation, they came in in force and took control of the operation, the Corporation has been compensated for this, and many of the Human employees are still here. Unfortunately things have not been quite so smooth for the Gungans who are now treated as slaves, forced to work hard and live in terrible conditions. Things are grim and frustrations are high.

  • Mining Rigs, all located on platforms in the ocean, spread out over a couple hundred km radius around the Settelment, some Gungan are keept on these platforms to work, the workers familys are kept in the main Settlement under constant watch to keep the mineing workers controlled. Think Oil Rigs, but the Gungans and some surveillance Droids dive from the platforms down to where the Plasma is accessible and use equipment to mine it and put it into transport containers which are returned to the surface and transported back to the Processing Plant
  • Main Settelment is on the only large land mass, in one of the plains close to the coast.

-Defended Space Port

-Plasma Processing Plant, where impurities are removed from the Plasma and it is placed into bigger containers for shipping to other parts of the Galaxy

-Large camp for the Gungan and to be kept in, most of the workers in the PPP live here, everyone has family on the Mining Rigs.

-Small camp for the Primitive Native to be kept in when working.

-big Imperial Base housing a large force of Officers,

-heavily walled and defended town for the Human population.

  • Space Station, used for refuling the large Transports which take the product off world, reparing damaged space craft, monitoring the ships approaching the planet and leaving, as well as housing the Tie squadron that protects the planet from unwanted attention or attack... plasma is valuable you know. A single small Imperial cruser is in orbit too with a number of customs vessels for chasing down bigger problems and protecting Transports on their rout to the Jump Point.

The known characters:

The Gungans:

  • Approximately 300 Gungans, roughly split 100 on the Mining platforms, 100 in the Processing Plant and 100 in the camp or as Servants
  • Boss Souso is the current Chieftain of the Gungans on Onganta 7 and head of the council of elders
  • There is a council of 7 more elders, so far only Faddo Nass (son of Rugor Nass) has a name.
  • Any other relevant NPC's the Players care to name or include in their stories or come up with can be added here

The Humans:

  • Marq Dorin, the human CEO in charge of the mining operation.
  • Comander Morak, imperial overseer of production.

We could be on Ooban.

I settled on Commander: Tactician. I'll work on the concept as soon as I get some time

Ok so, I was mostly kidding about my Gungan Bounty Hunter. I'm sorry for any confusion on that front :) I'm already in a different PBP game, and given my schedule at work and other RL factors, not sure I'm up for trying a second one. So please remove my name from your list of players. I'd rather someone who really wants to dedicate their time to the campaign to have a slot.

While I do love the idea, and if I ever played a Gungan, it would be that Dirty Harry badass, just to break stereotype :) I really can't do it at this time. Good luck with your campaign though! Gungan Power! *lifts fist triumphantly*

Here is Teles,

I think that the scientist specialisation fits best, especially if I get to play a repurposed B2 battle droid with hidden compartments in his body.

I think that I will be able to put the character up tomorrow (GMT+5).

Also, may I ask what are sections of ships that are responsible for air supply maintenance called?

From a narrative standpoint, could Teles have been the one who Jury-Rigged your droid?

Sure, I don't have anything against that.

Life Support?

That would be correct.

I am sorry, I worded my question poorly, but I guess that what I meant would be life support control room(s). Would that work for larger ships?

Oh ok, so thats sometimes called "Maintenance" or "Engineering". You could add "Systems" in front of either of those for a more descriptive title, but not necessary.

Time for some world (moon) building for you all:

this is all common knowledge for you, how long you have been here and how all your equipment was collected needs to be figured out. Ill also post this into the top of this thread to find it easier later on

Teles was given the boot, on Naboo. By his own father. But, then again, he was playing around with droids that killed his cousins, and friends, and the such. :D. So he moved to Ongata 7.

I'm thinking, to make certain aspects of this more believable, the original move was made with good intentions from the Empire "we found this place you may like a lot, we will pay you to help colonise it..." Of course as the greed of the governor and businesses has grown the exploitation has worsened. Leading to the current situation.

Sound good so far to you guys?

Makes sense. I could also see where the Empire was also using it as a way to move the entire gungan populate off of Naboo so the humans can live there without any filthy primitives mucking about.

I don't mind filling an empty seat, Gungan sounds cool. It would also be my first ever role-playing over forums ;P

Yes.

Also, is this going to be a sandbox-style game, or a GM Directed one?

Maybe when the Empire began to start exploiting the Gungans they decided to simply force the remaining ones still on Naboo to move onto Onganta 7. Jon stopped on Naboo for supplies and ended up getting forced onto Onganta 7 with the other Gungans there.

I have a LARP event this weekend. Yes I'm that kind of nerd. So if I don't get to my character today (not likely), I wont be able to until the beginning of next week. I'm sorry.

BTW, I know I'm not in this campaign, but I love the name of it :D Excellent choice of name there richard. I giggle every time I see it pop up.

"Weesa da Bombad Bombardiers!" I'm imagining them dressed up like a WW 2 bomber crew, with some Gungan pinup girl painted on the side of their starship.....I have a weird brain. :D

Accepted, welcome aboard this crazy train! Do you have any character concept in mind?
