To start, I am ridiculously excited for Heroes of the Resistance. I've wanted to fly every single one of the new pilots included in the pack since I saw TFA, and I'm thinking that this was the most elegant way to introduce them to the game given the obvious constraints FFG was working under when releasing the TFA core set and associated expansion packs.

My only concern is what am I to do with two YT-1300 models? A lot will depend on the point cost of the Resistance _______, but it seems like it'll take some effort to squeeze two into a standard 100 point list. Given what's been spoiled already, can anyone think of good semi-competitive (maybe not top tier, but at least flyable) double falcon lists?

I'm thankful that the points on these are low enough that you can double them up and squeeze in a couple upgrades. Really hoping we get some good ideas here.

MAYBE they will surprise us and the generic pilot will be as good as the Contracted Scout or something.

Pretty much Lando + choice of Falcon is the way to go with double Falcon lists.

the yt-1300 is an old poorly designed ship from before when FFG started getting its **** together. It doesn't have the upgrade slot combinations to lend itself to varied and useful builds

most likely, it'll just be a morbidly expensive 3 dice PWT (or it'll break the game)

I hope they keep the stats with the PS3 pilot the same as the other YT-1300's. That really never made sense to me anyway In any case it could be a very good Sabine carrier with that SLAM action on a large base ship. Maybe with a couple of K's? otherwise, to stay on topic, it would be nice to see Chewbacca and Rey hitting it off in a double falcon list. Chewy has already proven his worth numerous times with minimal upgrades. Maybe one tank and one flexible one with the new title upgrade? lots of speculation, better wait till we have more info Oh the joy! note that the compartment thingie is hinting towards "big K-wing" style generics, because you can Slam illicit and add another mod ala A-SLAM

problem with Sabine there is you only get 1 mine and no extra munitions, instead having to suffer through that crappy missile slot FFG stuck on as an afterthought when they first made the dang thing

Old Chewie provides the tanking, while Rey uses her mobility to smack stuff. Of course, this is all without a look at the possible new abilities of Han/Chewie, new crew, and new generic cost/stats. Still, should be most enjoyable to fly.

Yeah, too bad they didn't add a torp slot. Several EU sources had torps installed at some point.

Most EU sources have concussion missile tubes installed. The only one I know of (although I'm not exactly an encyclopedia) that says it has torpedoes is Courtship of Princess Leia, which is so uniformly awful that I'm disinclined to take it seriously.

Unfortunately, you can't really use Hera crew effectively with the new MF title, because you are not doing a red maneuver. You are doing a white and then if you are not stressed you may take one to turn around.

Ive been playing around with Rey/Ghost builds.
Im not sure why but they seem like a powerful pair if done right.

Ew no, TFA Falcon is cool, but 80's sattellite dish Falcon is Best Falcon (at least in looks, can't let go of that nostalgia). Best to keep both.

You take both Falcon models, toss them in the trash, and play a fun list with well designed game mechanics that reward skill.
