Well this will be interesting. Look closely, the illicit upgrade on the cards is adding the slam action. Connects to the Illicit slot. Anything with an illicit slot can add slam, and that means advanced slam can be added to a ton of stuff when this releases. VERY interesting.
Heores of the Resistance Illicit adds SLAM
there's more text following "add SLAM to your action bar" (assumed)
if it follows the cloaking device bull of unnecessary drawbacks, we won't be seeing ASLAM anytime soon
Large ship only looks like, as well. Large ships just got hella fast.
I don't think it does. There would be a lot more text.

I'm still hurt over the Scum Cloak. A stress token would've been fine(still unnecessary), having to discard is just silly. Without access to ACD, cloaked scum would still never be OP. I fear Scumslam will fall into the same trap.

The idea was to prevent a ship from going 'full submarine' and simply cloaking turn 1 and staying that way.
I think they designed it wrongly - I'd have preffered if there were a way to keep the card but lose the token so it's the duration that's unreliable, not the upgrade itself - but I can understand why they didn't want 4 AGI HWKs wandering around not bothering to shoot.
Likely a use and discard card like a lot of the illicits.

Depends on the pilot and the cost.
If it's a 1-point upgrade, then it'll be fantastic. It looks like it's already restricted to large-based ships, meaning you're talking some serious speed.
Aggressors will be able to 3-straight into a Segnor's Loop. The Hound's Tooth can pull a complete 180. Emon with Advanced Slam can do a 3-straight, followed by a hard 3, followed by a slingshot to shove bombs where they don't belong.
I will gladly use that over Inertial Dampeners 10 out of 10 times on every large ship that can take it. Frankly, if it wasn't a discard ability, it would probably be broken as hell.

A certain pair of mechanical friends just got very excited.

A 4ag hawk is still very killable, ask pre-AT/Palp Interceptors about that. At worst, you'd have pablo floating around stealing a token and not firing his 6-point turret.
There is a modification in there 'Smuggler's Compartment(s)' that gives the YT-1300 an illicit slot. SLAM on the Falcon will be interesting.

that's serious speed and seriously little chance of using ASLAM, which has an overlap restriction (no action on overlap)
weapon's disabled removes all chance of SLAM being broken; just gotta hope FFG doesn't go gung-ho on making it too balanced (and ultimately making it sh*tty)
