Not even "Generally". ALL multi-ship expansions to date have been repaints. Even the "bonus" ships in the Epics have been repaints.

There are NO special edition First Order ships to be repainted yet, so I doubt that "Champions of the First Order" is even in the planning, and won't be until either Episode VIII or Marvel Comics gives us the First Order version of Soontir Fel.

So these are our likely options for those four missing SWX codes...

• Wave 9 has four ships (two more Scum ships, a Rebel ship and an Imperial ship?)
• Wave 9 has three ships (one for each faction) and the fourth SWX is a Scum huge ship
• Wave 9 has three ships (one for each faction) and the fourth SWX is an "aces" pack for Scum
• Four more colors of bases and pegs — yellow, black, pink and chartreuse, perhaps

What will it be?

Maybe all releases are something to do with mini releases and not Wave9. Maybe something along the lines of another epic ship or veterans pack. And some Rogue One releases and or another Episode VII special box....or just all Rogue One releases.

SWX53: Rogue One Imperial stuff (probably the Tie fighter rumored to have flat interceptor wings)

Just to point out, NO Force Awalens ships have so far been announced as part of or released with an official X-Wing "Wave".

They've all been announced separately and released seperately.

The T-70 and TIE/FO were announced and released separately. That is true.

But they are technically part of Wave 8.

All repaints have never been part of a wave.

A large cardboard expansion pack can be part of a wave or not a wave.

Should we call non-Wave releases a "Trough?" I think that's what the area between waves are called.

So the repaint rule is not so hard and fast.
