I really don't get the outrage here.
Did anyone doubt at all that we'd see a new Falcon and black T-70? How is it that everyone is upset about a VERY obvious release?
I don't plan on buying Imperial Veterans, but I didn't throw a ***** fit when FFG announced it. Don't like it? Don't get it. But all this wailing and gnashing of teeth is ludicrous.
The issue here is that they should have added a Scum dial and Scum pilots with the Falcon repaint.
I'll say that I am slightly surprised that we got the Falcon in this XPAC and not a S&V XPAC. I really wanted to see an S&V version, if they're going to re-release the Falcon. Since we didn't see a lot of new ships in TFA, then I can forgive not seeing a special forces TIE/FO, but I agree that we could've done with just Falcon cards and not a new model. It simply seems like this XPAC was announced too soon. We had a perfectly useable Poe and Falcon. If FFG waited until the next movie, when more ships were introduced, this would make total sense.

Also, scum has pleeeently of large bases already. Add in a YT (or two, as some seem to think the YT-2400 would be a good idea as well), and we might as well call large base small base, and small base mini.
And I continue to get a laugh out of everyone who is upset by this release, even a little bit. You realize this isn't the last expansion that will ever come out for the game, correct? That those lonely scum ships aren't doomed for ever, or the lonely Rebel ships, ya? They will get their aces treatment. Some of us just need to learn to be patient and be grateful FFG continues to put out some products which cater to new players so we can grow the community. Heck, here's a novel idea! Bring a buddy in to the game, and if he likes it, tell him he can get a really quick entry to the game by buying a) a core set, b) Heroes of the Resistance, and c)Imperial veterans! If you're really nice, maybe you will buy one of the 3 for him. Wow! Now he's hooked for good!

Yeah.... This is just an interim release. It's nice, I'll get one of them (compared to 4 imperial veterans), and I will continue to look forwards to things like Rebel vets and wave 9. Things that I see as utterly inevitable.

no real options there, they're basically the same except the JM5k is better designed to allow for more viable builds. We're pretty set on the number of PWTs as is
fluff is largely irrelevant outside of inspiration. Introducing the yt-1300 to scum strikes me as an incredibly low payoff for the effort it'd require
better to focus on the actual scum ships that need help, ala the promised scum aces

There may never be a S&V YT-1300. It may simply never be an option FFG has because LFL won't let them. I mean it's hardly far fetched to say that the single most iconic ship in Star Wars is something they want control how it's used and viewed.
But even if they ever do a S&V YT-1300 this box is not the place that it would be done in. Why would anyone ever expect to see pilots for a different faction in any expansion?

In regards to this particular expansion, there are better and higher priority things to focus on than T-70s and YT1300s. It still would have been nice to scum-ize the most iconic scum freighter ever.
Aren't you a cheeky one? The Falcon has always been good, the longest lasting ship to stay in the meta. Han + Jake was a tournament-winning list up until wave 8 was released.
The Falcon is still pretty good, even if it's not The Thing You Have To Plan For any more.

That I'll agree with. But FFG doesn't have complete control over its production schedule. So if LFL says 'get more TFA stuff out now' then that's what they'll do.
Plus that, this pack has been in the works for 6+ months now.
I view it as FFG's way of fixing what was missing from Wave 8 now that they can make things how they would of liked to in the first place. It also means that we'll see a TIE/sf coming out soon with it's own sculpt.

I have to say, while new news is good news, this release dissapoints me. A falcon repackage was unavoidable, we needed Rey and Finn and that's cool, Rey is awesome. But putting a T-70 in there with the super imaginative PS9 Poe Dameron? He's both already in the game and already in that ship. He has a place in the meta, why is he in this box?
I'll echo others and say that Poe isn't at the cost of someone else. We've got every named T-70 pilot now, so think of Ps9 Poe as a free bonus. Plus you say a repackaged Falcon was unavoidable, but didn't we also think the same about a re-painted T-70? And did you really expect them to do a T-70 repaint WITHOUT Poe?

That's true, but all YT-1300s are not the Falcon. For example the Selu and Sabra of the Azzameen family.
The best thing in this expansion is unlocking the pilot cards of previously published pilots.
Han, Chewi and Poe all have new pilot cards.
Time for Horton,Luke and a few others to have new pilot cards as well in future. I would like to see Horton with AN EPT slot, and Jedi Luke should have deadeye free as well as some interesting ability.
