Personally, I'm pretty excited for a PS9 T-70 to match up against Soontir and Vader as well as some tools to improve the Falcon's place in the current meta.

If you don't like it, don't buy it and wait for the next thing.

But what if I do like it, plan on buying it, but I like reading differing opinions?

1500 posts and I'm thinking the exact thing he is. The selfish, petulant whinging I've seen in reaction to this announcement is truly ridiculous.

Nice free upgrade for those of us who play casual, already own the ships, and play with printed lists instead of cards

(unless the new falcon dial is different than the old one )

Like some have already said, PS9 Poe is what we were suppose to get either in the TFA core or along with it including his buddies Nien, Snap and Jess but you know.....Disney. If you wanna be consistent you can think of it like this: PS8 Poe is pre-crash Poe and PS9 is Poe the "Black" after he comes back from the dead more awesome than before;)

As for the Falcon, at least we get new pilots(not sure if Han and Chewie has new abilities) and interesting upgrades cards to go along with it. Plus its an entirely new sculpt apparently so at least they're trying. Personally I'm in it more for the T-70s.

Love it all. Don't like it don't get it. No reason to complain really. I don't plan to get veterans no biggie.

I have to say, while new news is good news, this release dissapoints me. A falcon repackage was unavoidable, we needed Rey and Finn and that's cool, Rey is awesome. But putting a T-70 in there with the super imaginative PS9 Poe Dameron? He's both already in the game and already in that ship. He has a place in the meta, why is he in this box?

I hope Kylo Ren's shuttle comes with another TIE/FO with 2 copies of Comm Relay, 4 new pilots, and 2 copies of a 0 point title that adds the turret, cannon, missile, and torpedo slots to a TIE/FO. And new ship tokens that have rear firing arcs for all existing TIE/FO Pilots that take the Title.

I sort of wonder how FFG would pull that off, given the massive and prominent turret on the model where the base peg should be.

I have to imagine they'd need to put the peg in the back, like they did with the B-Wing, or something like that, but...that'd definitely make the model look weird compared to the other TIE Fighters...

I'm honestly kind of horrified that they redid the same pilots, in the same ships, with different PS. And apparently they're teasing the same pilots, with the same PS, with different abilities or something? And, uh, do they intend to justify Poe being PS 9 vs 8 anywhere?

I'm not arguing balance anywhere here, but listbuilding and fluff just became a mess.

Would've much preferred Black One to simply increase PS by 1, if they must have PS9 Poe (and that's probably reasonable). The whole thing feels really... messy, I guess? I dunno, man.

Also: Dual falcons. Apparently a PS 3 generic (which I find irritating in itself, but I digress). I guess it was impossible to avoid, but augh. I've got mine in a box, and I don't really know how I feel about having a second one. Are we allowed to swap dishes around, or are these officially different ships?

list building is a bit annoying with all the same names, but we had this in warmachine as well. Eventually, they just started using #s to track different iterations of the same characters

Falcon with square dish and black-orange T-70 is exactly what I wanted!!! And double IA?! Not a waste. Just wondering if any of the upgrades are the mythical "fix" for the T-65. Doesn't look like it, so maybe still an X/E-Wing Rebel Vets?

a cheaper expansion box with 2 small ships (even an x-wing and anything else) and the falcon pilots cards would ahve been fine for me

Where was it said that this is Wave 10? Isn't this just an interim "Most Wanted", "Aces", "Veteran" type release?

I'm personally VERY ok with this expansion but do understand why people who didn't get what they hoped for feel cheated. Have seen it a lot over the years between video games, movies and board games but people DO love to get themselves worked up and then disappointed by buying into their own expectations, regardless of the reality. (note: not directed at you specifically, no need to feel insulted).

This announcement is definitely not what I hoped for... it's a Rey of Hope for the future. But it's definitely not A New Hope.

This expansion while it does not scratch any itches I've got for my current collection at hand. I see exactly what it does. While my love for the OT is beyond my age growing up during during PT. This expansion does exactly what I would want growing up now during the ST. Do I want tweaks and fixes for older stuff in the EU/Legends? Of course, but...

This expansion isn't Targeted at us old grizzled vets to Star Wars. It's targeted at a younger us; had we been growing up right now. My nephews already have it 'wish listed'

GW also way over-prices their games while X-wing is a pretty reasonably priced hobby. Most younger players can't afford to drop up to $500 just for a tourney-level list like GW almost requires.

It could have a 4 point restriction on the upgrade. Nixing Homing Missiles and Heavy Laser, but it wouldn't be the end of the world either way.

Yep...My daughter is almost 7 and plays Imperial Assault with us already (loves running the girl characters). She is a HUGE Rey fan and as soon as I showed her the new Falcon and that Rey is getting a pilot card, she said she wants to learn to play X-Wing when it comes out.

Guys...relax. I think it's great that they have finally produced an expansion that you would only buy one of. Far from a money grab, they've designed it so that you only want to buy one. Tired of buying multiple boxes for upgrades to leave the models sitting on the shelf.

One Falcon and one Black One, sounds good to me. Nice work FFG.

As for Ren's shuttle coming with an F/O, if it's the special forces F/O TIE then people will want more than one so will be a separate booster.
