The Almost Unkillable Ezra Bridger (I Think)

By Boba Rick, in X-Wing

Ezra Bridger [Jan Ors, Push the Limit, Stealth Device] (28)

So, my idea is that Ezra does an evade action, then does a focus action and turns it into a second evade token. Then he becomes stressed which activates his ability. Then, when he's attacked he rolls three dice. He automatically cancels two hits, and has a really good chance of cancelling two more. Very rarely do people roll more than 4 attack dice.

Does this work?

Those card interactions all work the way you think they do. I'm not sure how effective it will be practice though.

I prefer Lone Wolf/Hera/Stealth. 26 points for something the ghost can drop with a Kturn when it's about to die, stay's stressed forever.

I prefer Ezra with PTL/TLT/Chewie.

That Ezra is almost invincible to a single attack, sure (unless blanks are rolled), but it is in a way that requires actions and relies heavily on tokens so it's less likely to be immune the more shots that come it. Additionally Carnor Jax makes that thing silly but that's no reason to say it's bad.

I ran Ezra this weekend at the regional. Was appalling.

He needs to be docked to a Ghost to really work. If he's one of the last ships left and stays stressed, he's fine and can handle most things.

If he's run with other Rebel ships from the start, he's very flimsy. Especially against meta ships like Wampa with Palp help. Two turns of sliding a sneaky damage card onto you and you're done. And your ability can't help at all.

I think you nailed it there. He's good against one attack, but once those tokens are gone... Also, this combo is not a good arc-dodging combo.

It has its strengths and weaknesses.

Ezra, meet Homing Missile.

Ezra is really easy to kill. Never had an issue.
