Rules wise there's issues with using those as TL's. Which doesn't mean you can't do them in friendly games and the like. But I wouldn't in a SC.

You put one of those on another ship and when you go to use it the other guy could say 'but that's not a blue TL token so it does nothing.' Because the rules specify the color of the token.

It's unlikely they'd include a change to the rules in that box, because then not everyone has access to those new rules, although they could update the FAQ.

But even then if you have two people using those as TL's unless they're different colors on the other side... Then how do you tell who's the TL belongs to? Is that my orange zerek or yours?

Sadly it comes with the cost that other, older ships have to wait to be more viable again.

There is likely to be upgrades in this pack that will help both the T-65 and the E-Wing. 2 more Integrated Astromechs for example is a big help for all X-Wings, and then there's a lot of upgrades we don't even know what they are, and those could all be useful on E-Wings and T-65's.

I'm good with this set, as long as Rebel Veterans is still out there! I'll probably pick one of these up. I'm glad I never tried a Poe repaint!

That's the bigger issue. Unless some way to separate the ship with the TL vs the one that's being TL'ed then those tokens won't work very well.

And have you got any idea what Han's ability would be? I think that it would be fun, if he gets something like this:

"Your ships always shoots first. No matter of other ships pilot skill".

That would be really thematic

In the shooting phase, treat your Pilot Skill value as 12.

Because nothing I've seen here is absurdly powerful. Poe 9 is going to be heavily competing with Poe 8. Rey is balanced by her requirement of arc. The new title is fun, sure. But the old title still works great with Threepio.

Of course, it is still very viable being 3 points cheaper. PS is worthless in a U-Boat meta. Once Palp aces come into the picture you have some interesting descisions at hand.

Of course you can.

FFG sells expansion packs to sell expansion packs, not (primarily) to "fix" ships. One way to sell ships a second time is to "fix" them. Another way is to repaint them and give them new pilots. In the past, FFG has done both of these at the same time, but that doesn't mean they always will.

Any time a ship is released in a second product, some customers will be faced with the dilemma of buying more of something they already own or potentially missing out on useful upgrades. Maybe a word of caution to not buy indiscriminately if you aren't interested in redundant (but pretty) ship models.

I'm just happy that I can get my 2 copies of IA and some shiny new pilots. Personally, I'd be happier spending $30 for everything else and just leave the new Falcon out of the box... In other words, anyone want a spare Falcon model for a few bucks?

Here's the thing. You don't need a single Falcon really. But lots of people own 2 or even 3 of them, or 3 or 4 IG-2000's, or 3 Jumpmasters. I don't need 6 T-65 X-Wings, but I own 6 of them...

It's not a strange choice. It's all the Heroes from TFA in one box. It's a totally logical choice.

A stand alone TFA falcon would look like the same as the stand alone OT falcon so it would be odd to have 2 falcon box sets, just as it would be odd to have Poe's re-paint as it's own blister as it's something (like the falcon) that you should only need one of.

if you are gonna argue "Well I might want more than 1 falcon!" then that's cool becasue hey, guess what, there's a stand alone falcon set you an buy too! But since people are arguing that they wouldn't want more than one falcon, the idea of packaging it up with another ship still makes sense!

The mission markers in that box look interesting, I really hope there are at least two scenarios, maybe even a TFA campaign in that box. Escape from Jakku is a must and then I'd love a Starkiller Base scenario to go with Poes X-Wing. Or maybe the scne where that X-Wing is first introduced... Would be amazing if FFG were to tap into that potential.

Well, I used a silver sharpie on the edges of my TL tokens, and then hit them again with a black sharpie to give them a stripped pattern. Never had a problem telling mine from other people's. Did the same on my Astroids, Debris fields, Focus and Evades...

And if there was anything to suggest that this box is going to replace the Rebel Vet box, then there may be some reason to be upset. But with Rogue One coming out this winter... The most this means is a Rebels Vet box may be coming out later then originally planed.

But unless someone can show the production schedule and how LFL/Disney forced FFG to produce this pack instead...

You are wrong though it is different, the existing models has laser burn marks behind the dish, they are definitely not there in TFA or in the preview of the new model.

Six, actually. And I would totally buy enough copies of the fix to kit them all out for Epic play, so I reckon I'd end up with 9+ if Rebel Veterans does actually come to pass.

Black one seems to be tailor made for BB-8 Push new Poe. This could also help nerf ordnance (a bit) and the Crazy 8s* list that will be everywhere when Veterans comes out. against rebels, interestingly, it is not once per turn...

* Vessery with VI and whatever load out, standard Omega Leader, standard Inquisitor.
