Mounting peg issues

By thedrake70458, in Star Wars: Armada

Trying to put the mounting peg into my Gladiator and seems the peg is too big---am shaving it down to fit but am wondering if others have had this problem, and how they have fixed it.

Is this to be expected on other ships,OR on any ships in particular?

Am new Armada player but am hoping putting together ships is not going to be this difficult.

Any advice appreciated.....thanks.

Mark

I have lots of ships, and haven't had this problem so far.

Same here. No problems at all, yours could be just a single fluke in production.

I had this problem, I just brute forced it in, although your way is most likely better.

I have a Glad that has this problem. I haven't sat down to try the other stands in the ship to determine if the problem is the ship or the stand. If you don't seat it correctly, you have an entertaining "pop-off" of the ship while on the table. Pretty funny. I have just been working around by working the stand at a sharp angle into the ship starting at the front and gently wiggling the pieces as I push into the fitting while rotating the stand to its normal position. Clear as mud?

Both my cr90's have lose pegs and my assault frigate looks like it needs filing down! Still love all the models though.

Was able to file down back rounded end of the peg enuff to fit into the Gladiator---took off a good bit of plastic! But it does work. Thanks for all the advice on this with the Armada ships.

It more likely the base rod hole that is to small or missed shaped, I have drilled out some for my CR90s and Nebs and about 1/3 of my fighters base rods. In some of them you can see the flashing and miss casting that is in the way.

I have also replaced 3 of the ship pegs with carbon fiber rod. I temped to replace all of them
