I really doubt that the next wave of Greedo/GI/Obi will be available before the North American champs at Gen Con, but it would be interesting to be wrong.

Also, I would think that they would leave it out of the tournament if it was available there (for the first time)…

I think they want them before GenCon. And it wouldn't be the first time FFG or any company added new content a week or two before a big event. I actually prefer this, as it brings an unexpected side of the game to the large events.

AARRGGHHH!!! My shipment from Coolstuffinc.com literally JUST shipped out. I had been waiting for the Descent lieutenants for several months, figured these packs would still be a month or more away, so I told them to ship as soon as the Descent minis came in (at about 12:30 EST today). Now I'll have to wait for the next expansion to get close to the $100 free shipping.....

MM shipping costs $5.99 flat no matter size. If over $100 its free. For the 3 figs, Im okay paying the $6.

FFG Event Center says these will release on July 14th.

Greedo spoiled today. List of dates on front page needs an update, but maybe wait until we have a ship date and add a few at once.

Updated the front page and also put up the date they should be available (I'll change it if it changes). Wanted to wait until Greedo's article came out at least to do it. I'll probably update without mentioning it when Obi-Wan gets spoiled. Pretty excited, these came out super fast!

Now the big question is when are we going to hear what's coming next? Hopefully Gen Con or someone suggested Star Wars Celebration. I just want to have the next wave cleared up on what it's going to be finally since there's only 20 different threads about what it could be on the boards and I definitely don't want to get this page off into speculation territory

One would hope sooner than that. I know several publishers are looking to have their holiday themed items ship in late October/early November. If the game is not on the shelves during gift buying season, there are plenty more choices that can be purchased.

While some people may be "last minute shoppers", I know I personally would not want to be waiting for the release of what amounts to a $100 gift to hit just 3 days prior to Christmas. Even if you preorder, you are still betting on it arriving by 12/24 (a Saturday) if 12/22 is the actual release date.

FFG has been doing exceptional work getting items to market in a shorter time. Granted, this is a big box expansion so I imagine the 2 month time frame we saw with Knight , Hunter , and Inquisitor is likely not reasonable but if they can do it in 3-4 months, that would place release right in mid November/early December (which could give us previews in October, maybe even late September).

I agree! I feel like Hoth, while the fastest release up to that point in time, still didn't come out as fast as they had hoped/planned for it. I'm hoping they are ahead of the curve now and Jabba's Realm will move to on the boat by mid September or beginning of October at the latest. At that rate it wouldn't be out of the question for a mid November/Thanksgiving time release to make sure people can get it for Christmas presents.

So, if it gets on the ship mid September we could be seeing articles right around then - so hopefully first article is released about September 20th - that's my prediction we'll see how it goes

Could be. Just checked and it actually went to the printer on 8/14. Armada's next wave also went to print that same day. X-wing's next wave is still "in production".

I'm betting that they had IA and Armada in the bag well before the GC announcement but held back the announcement for obvious reasons.

Would be nice if it came slightly before Christmas... I live in South Africa, and last year Return to Hoth arrived during the Christmas holidays, but the distributors were already on leave, so it only arrived in stores in January.

So we don't have it updated to "on the ship" yet. But we got our first article before the guess of September 20th.

I'm hoping the on the boat gets updated by mid this week.

True. And technically, we could be due for something like the Bantha wave or Obi Wave (reinforcement packs right?). And the Obi wave was a 2 month cycle from announce to available (the Bantha wave not so much but it came during what I think we can consider a very packed upcoming product time and likely got pushed back).

So, hopefully a reinforcement pack gets announced. And then in March or April the next boxed expansion.
