Not 100% if I should use Vader or Palp any thoughts ?

If I use Vader I have 3 pts left over, what should I add?

It's a cool list for sure, but it doesn't really do anything. It apparently just has cool pilots, cool ships, and cool upgrades.

If you need any verification on whether to use Anakin or Sidious with the space cow, Sidious all the way with no further upgrades. I would also recommend the rest of your list use higher agility ships potentially with gimmicky things for fun like Stealth Device so the palpmobile has some stuff to support. What do you think?

Wampa's not nearly as effective without Palp to guarantee the crit.

Redline works much better with a FCS for extra TLs, especially when running cluster missiles. That would use 2 of your 3 points.

"Wampa" requires Emperor Palpatine to be effective. I think that the weak link is "Redline" in these lists. If I were to run a list like this, my build would be:

The Inquisitor + TIE/v1 + Push The Limit + Autothrusters (31)

"Omega Leader" + Juke + Comm Relay (26)

"Wampa (14)

Omicron Group Pilot + Emperor Palpatine (29)

100pts total

I'd personally drop Redline for the Inquisitor.

You need Palpatine.

Try:

Inquisitor - Title, PTL, AT

Omega Leader - Comm Relay, Juke

Wampa

OGP - Palp

That's a really good list. If you want something a little less competitive, but a lot "funnier", try Colzet instead of OL. You'll have 3p left. I usually put them in the shuttle (EBaffle, Ion Projector).

For 3pts you can upgrade OGP to Captain Yorr who soaks up stress for the squad and can potentially land the killing blows on PS2 TLT Y-Wings or any ship from BBBBZ before they shoot, saving you from return fire.

In a competitive environment, the only change I would even consider is Carnor Jax over The Inquisitor. I just feel that his pilot ability might get more work done than The Inquisitor and emphasises that you really want Omega Leader as your end game ship. Carnor Jax with Push The Limit and Autothrusters comes to 31pts, same as The Inquisitor kitted out like he is above.

I see a lot of folks saying to drop Redline without saying why. I really like him; he's almost certain to get 5/6 hits with Cluster Missiles as long as you have FCS, which REALLY distracts from OmegaL. Something about one-shotting a lot of ships and stripping around half the HP of the rest ships in a single shot does draw attention, can't imagine what.

But for a Palpshuttle 4-ship build, he's probably not the strongest pick. You really want Wampa/Palpshuttle/OL, which only leaves the 31 points - and Redline with Clusters requires FCS to go over the top. Absent FCS, use Concussions. Inquisitor is probably the best add to the list.

I did, however, do some serious damage with Vader/Redline/Palpshuttle...

Fair point,

Drop him because he is a 37-41 point punching bag.

He has 0 tokens for defense, 1 agility and no reposition abilities - thus any good player will make a bee-line for him and take him out in 1-2 rounds with minimal effort and you cannot do anything about it.

The only thing which will marginally work to prevent that is a mini-swarm in front of Redline, and even then, your list then suffers due to having too many bad matchups.

Well, that's why you manipulate that expectation of "I can kill Redline" with the "I HAVE to kill Redline" and control your enemy's target priorities.

Example: No one wants to leave Omega Leader as the last ship standing. But you can't leave a Redline with Cluster Missiles alive - you have to at least TRY to kill it before it gets the second shot off. That means your OmegaL can still do his thing and live through the first two turns without worrying about getting focused down, because there's a bigger threat than HIM on the table.

Knowing how your opponent needs to react to your list helps governs your own actions. I mean, in one game I lost Redline turn two - but Backstabber/OL/ZetaL did so much damage to Dengar as he was focusing down RL that he lost anyway, despite RL not getting a single Cluster missile off.
