Multiple attacks on one ship

By Black Curse, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Applogies if this topic has been covered in another post. If one ship is beset by multiple attackers in the same round does the defending ship get to roll the defensive dice for each attacker or only for the first one?

As an example if four TIEs attack one B-wing does the B-wing only get two green dice against the eight red dice from the TIEs or would it get to roll for each attack?

It wold not seem logical that a single fighter would be able to resist four attacks as though they were defending against one.

You get to roll defense dice each time someone attacks you.

Each attack is resolved separately. The defender gets to roll defense dice against each and every attack.

That said, Focus and Evade tokens can each only be spent once. Attacking multiple times will often force the opponent to spend their tokens defensively against the earlier attacks, leaving them more vulnerable to the later attacks.

Swarms are strong enough already without needing to do any extra denial of defense dice.

Also - Bwings have 1 agility so only get 1 defense dice per attack -unless you are at range 3. Then you get a combat bonus of one extra die.

Not only do you get to roll defense each time a ship attacks you you'll get to roll defense each time you are attacked even if a ship can make multiple attacks against you.

Each attack is a separate event so any one shot things like Focus or Evade tokens only apply to the defense roll they are used on but other factors may be usable multiple times each round.
